Red Robes and Broken souls

Babysitting?

After my long shower I grabbed a big towel and dried off the best I could before realizing I didn't have any clothes to put on. Hoping Eros isn't in the room I peek into the room and look around. When I know it's safe I step out and grab my bag but I didn't have much time and couldn't bring much when I left so I only brought a few things. Maybe I can borrow Eros stuff I hope he won't mind but I didn't want to put on the same pants as yesterday. Walking to his dresser i grad a plain black shirt and some boxers and sweatpants. After getting dressed I pull his shirt to my nose and take a deep breath. I love the smell it smelled like the woods after it rains. It smells like Eros. 

Walking back down the stairs and towards the kitchen I make a cup of tea and sip it as I walk towards the glass door to the backyard. I watch some boys playing with toy trucks and some kids in the sandbox. Sitting on a bench right outside the door I smile softly and keep drink my tea. 

I was about to go find Eros when a girl about my age comes running up to me holding a baby boy and a bag full of stuff. "Luna oh I'm so glad you are here some people told me Eros had just found you and I was so happy but then my babysitter got sick no one can take jack and im really late and I know I have no right to ask you but can you take care of him for a while please?" She looked stressed out and had this hope in her eyes. How could I say no? But I really don't know what I'm doing.

"Ya I can take him for a while but I'm really not goo-" before I could Finnish she had shoved jack in my arms and hugged me sitting the bag next to me she gave me a few instructions told me her name was Jane and was running towards a car. 

Ok? I watched as she left and then looked down at jack who was jumping up and down on my lap and giggling. It's ok Ann you got this. I think.

After about an hour me and jack had played with some toy trucks and some other things in his bag Jane had left and I was now rocking him as he was falling asleep. Soon he was sound asleep and I went to sit on the couch while jack slept peacefully against my chest. 

I hadn't seen Eros since my shower but figured he was doing Alpha work so I turned on the tv and started watching a dumb show that was on. 

I don't remember when I fell asleep but I woke up to jack crying and I grabbed him and rocked him back to sleep as fast as I could. "What are you doing?" Eros said from behind me. 

"Babysitting what does it look like?" I said standing up and turning to Eros as I rocked jack in my arms. 

"And why are you babysitting?" 

"Because some lady named Jane dropped jack in my lap and asked if I could take care of him and I said yes." Eros eyes widened a little when I said Jane and he looked down at the little boy snuggled into my chest. 

"Jane let you babysit?"

"Ya?" Slowly turning around I sat back down on the couch and held jack to me. "Why wouldn't she I'm awesome." Coming around the couch he sits next to me.

"Jane never lets me even hold jack and she's my own cousin!" A cute pout comes to his face and I kiss his lips and giggle. 

"Maybe it's because you are big and scary?" 

"I am not!" 

Smiling at jack as he curls his fist into my shirt I laugh "Ya because a hot dude that's about 6'7 and has sexy muscles and strong arms is not scary at all and probably holds little baby's all the time."
