I hugged my dad and wiped his tears. "Dad, you barely cry. I'll be fine, I promise." He shook his head and took his hat off and handed it to me. "Just in case you miss home." I looked down and saw that it was his police academy hat. My eyes welled up, "It'll be with me everywhere I go."
"Flight A45 boarding to Madrid, Spain." Alicia came up and took my bags for me, "I'll save your seat." She knew that being apart from my dada was hard. "Thanks."
My dad let me go and scruffed my hair, "Stay safe Hads." I looked up, "Yes sir! Good day sir!" We both laughed and I headed into the plane.

I woke up to Alicia tapping my shoulder. "Hads, look up." I looked by my seat and saw Clayton by my seat. "Um, are you Hadlee?" I was too dazed to reply, and I was pretty sure I had bed hair. Luckily, Alicia translated my look. "Yes, she just woke up. Whats up?"
"Yeah, um, you and I are paired for city tour buddies. I have the sight envelope here, and the packet as well." I replied, trying to act cool. "Yeah, no prob. Thanks." He walked away, and looked over to see Alicia fanning her face. "OMG you can see his abs through is shirt! Your so lucky!" I laughed and fiddled through my bag. I found my headphones and listened to music the rest of the way.

I stepped off of the airplane steps and took a good whiff of the breezy relaxing air. Someone tapped my shoulder and I turned around to see Clayton take my bags for me. "I'll take our bags to the hotel while you get the required assignments from the professor, Ok?" I nodded and headed to the cluster of people. I found my teacher and he handed our packets.
I walked inside the airport to find Clayton sitting by the edge of the bags waiting for the cab ride to the hotel.
"So, I got the packets and he said to meet at the square plaza by the hotel."
"Cool." The cab pulled up and he held the door for me. We headed to the hotel and checked in.
I stepped into my room, only to see that Clayton came too. I felt awkward, "Ummm, we have to share a room?" He itched his head in discomfort and said, "Yeah, at least we have separate beds? No never mind, still weird." I laughed and unpacked my stuff.

I saw Alicia and the others ordering their drinks as I walked into the cafe. She turned around and came over. "So, everybody wants to know if you and Clayton are a thing. Since.....ya know." I rolled my eyes and nudged her shoulder. "You know I don't do boys. Plus, we have only talked once when we were in our room."
She grabbed my hand and we sat down. "Really though, he looks at you like, like, you're something to eat. Even dodge a bullet for." I laughed and shook my head. "Chill, and stop reading Twilight. It's getting into your head." She rolled her eyes as her partner came up and gave her the coffee she ordered.
He looked like a puppy, sad almost. "Is he your buddy?" She shrugged, "Hahaha, yea. He's quiet. Never speaks, but cute. So I'm fine." Then that was when the first shots rang, and I felt myself pulled to the side.
