This story begins on a field in the far depths of heaven, where an angel Castiel is created by our father, God. There has always been a hint in the gossip of heaven and hell that Castiel would be special when he grew up, that he would be destined for something great. A destiny that was prophesied by psychics and written in the trillions of stars in the universe.
Castiel grew up surrounded by thousands of messengers of god; taught loyalty, obedience and subordination to the humans. It was all he had ever known and he could not fathom a reason as to why those who disobeyed did so, it was unnatural to him.
Until the time where a mortal opened his mind and heart and taught him how to be human, that mortal's name was none other than the famous Dean Winchester, God's servant and his loyalty to Sam Winchester, the younger brother with demon blood cursing through his veins. The pain in Deans deep green eyes were overwhelming, they shine with hopelessness and guilt. Through it all, he kept fighting without his soul and without love.
That is the reason why Castiel disobeyed. He did it for his love of Dean.
