Chapter Four

"Well, boys, I can say that I am very impressed with your performance for the past eight weeks," said Commander Arlon, who was sitting behind his desk, evaluating Echo Squad. They were being evaluated in the central command offices, and they were second in line behind Bravo Squad. The commander got up from his desk and walked around to the boys.

"Boys, you're headed to Iraq. Plane leaves at eight tomorrow morning. I hope you make the trip without losing your lunch." Tarkus looked around at the group. "With all due respect, sir, I don't think I can manage that," he said, and they all laughed, including the commander. But Keegan was stunned. He had been convined that, falling down in the forest, he had let down his team, as well as making them army janitors. He was shocked to find out that he was going to Iraq just like that.

"You are dismissed, Team Echo," said Commander Arlon. Good luck out there." The team saluted, and then walked out of the room. They went to their dormitory, packed up their things, and prepared for their journey the next day.

They were going to Iraq.
