Chapter 37

(Lauren's POV)

My knees started to tremble. I sobbed. Why do I mess everything up? Ed lost his life because of me. It seems all I do is cause trouble. I'm such a mistake for being here. Niall comforted me.

"It's not your fault, Lauren." Niall cooed.

"Yes it is." I sobbed into his shirt.

"Hey, maybe you and Eric could go do something to get your mind off of everything?" Niall suggested.

My sobs started to slow. "Okay. I guess."

Eric hopped over to me and tugged on my arm. Me and him walked out.

It actually did take my mind off of everything. It was nighttime. I looked down. Something was glowing.

"Hey, Eric, come look at this." I called to Eric.

Eric walked over and looked at the same thing I was looking at. We walked over to it. It was in the bushes. There, we saw three necklaces, with a dragon, a tiger, & a lion. They looked cool. We picked them up. They were still glowing. Eric put one on. It was the dragon. I put the tiger on. I thought it looked pretty on me.

"We can give the lion to Niall when we get home." I said.

Eric nodded. Then, it started to thunder. Then lightning. But no rain. What the fuck, I thought. Then, down came a red lightning bolt. It struck Eric. He started to giggle a little.

"It actually tickles." he giggled.

Then, a blue bolt struck me, and I stumbled backwards. I started to get a tingling feeling. Eric was right, it did tickle. Then, everything stopped. Me and Eric looked up at each other. I didn't feel any different.

"Do you feel anything different?" I asked.

Eric shook his head.

We decided to go home. We walked in, and Niall pulled us in. He looked frantic. So did everyone else.

"Niall, is everything okay?" I asked.

"Dad. He's near. We need to hide." Niall said.

He pulled us into the safety room. We didn't speak. Then, we heard the door shatter.

"SHOW YOURSELVES!!" I heard Dad's rough voice say. "I KNOW YOU'RE IN HERE!!"

(Louis' POV)

We heard more stomping. And more crashing. Then, I saw something glow.

"Niall, shut your phone off!" I whispered.

"It's not me!" Niall whispered back.

I looked over and saw Eric & Lauren. Their eyes were glowing. They were glowing.

"Niall, what's happening?" I asked, forgetting to lower my voice.

"I-I don't know.." Niall replied.
