I stood in the midst of a clearing. I was a thin girl, standing at 5'4" and weighing only 70 pounds. My long black hair rested on my shoulders, the blue, yellow, and red streaks standing out like a sore thumb.

I must admit, I was different from the humans of this world; with my fennec fox ears, and my long furry tail. My ears, each tipped with red and yellow, were extremely noticeable. My tail was tipped with red, followed by yellow and blue, ending in a shade of black akin to my ears and hair.

My charcoal jacket, with long sleeves and trails that ended at my knees, flapped wildly in the breeze.

As I glanced across the clearing, I noticed a young girl staring at me. She had scarlet red hair, and what seemed to be emerald eyes. An interesting color. I thought to myself. She wore a bright red tank top, exposing her pale white skin, and black jeans.

As she stepped closer towards my direction, I spotted a katana sheath strapped to her waist.

As I stared at her, my aquamarine gaze appeared to have startled her, as she unsheathed her weapon.

A crimson katana, held in the grasp of this young girl, glistened in the sunlight. I let my vision shift from human vision, to that of an eagle. With this enhanced eyesight, I scanned every point of the blade thoroughly. Only one thing stood out: a green crystal.

Green. Grass. Nature. This girl was an elementalist.

With a twitch of my tail and a flick of my ears, I shifted.

Bright light enveloping me, I took the form of a Blazing kitsune; a beast with three tails, the body of a fox, and the killing intent of a human.

Flames flew from my pelt, heating the air around me and scorching the grass below me.

The girl stood, unblinking. I assumed she was in shock of my transformation.

"Oi! Ya plan on fightin' me or what?", I let out in a burst of confidence.

She gripped her blade, taking an offensive stance. "Course! Your a disgrace to your species! Three-tailed!", she taunted.

"Tch! Like you can say that! Using a blade, your an elementalist not a warrior!", I scowled back, my tails flaring angrilly.

"Last chance! Step down and surrender, or I'll be forced to slay you!"

"Like hell I would!", I let the phrase burst from my lungs as I dashed towards her. She didn't try to avoid my claws as I lunged at her. I felt something tug on my foot, as I faceplant on the soil below. No! She used the nature! I yelled in my thoughts at my stupidity.

I felt a cold blade to the back of my neck, my eyes widening.

"Hmph! Clumsy, aren't you!", she taunted, pressing the blade into my neck slightly.

Smoke began to rise from my pelt. A smirk of triumph slid across my face.

"Whose clumsy?", I asked rhetorically. Flames shot up her blade, instantly engulfing her arm. The scent of burning flesh filled the air. I plunged my talons into her leg, causing her to collapse into the ground. I retracted my talons from her flesh and dug them into her neck. She lulled to the side, blood pouring from her wounds.

I sat there, the girls head resting on my lap. He emerald eyes full of anger, hatred, and shame. It felt as if her gaze was drilling into me, trying to pierce my soul. Her long, scarlet red hair rested in my claws, falling strand by strand as I lifted my talons.

Her breaths were slow, deeply gulping in the air as if she thought it would be her last. I dug my claws into where her heart would be, slowly.

"Why...?", she questioned with all her energy. "Why couldn't I beat you...Why won't you fall...?"

"All heros must fall eventually." And with that, I ended her life, as well as her suffering.
