AKB0048: The 81st Generation

Chapter 1-Kakaku Yuuko

"Hey Kikan!" Kakaku Yuuko shouted, waving. Fuyumi Kikan, Yuuko's best friend, saw her and waved. Yuuko and Kikan have been best, best friends ever since they were little and went to the same school together. Ever since they were little, they have always loved an idol group full of singing angels called AKB0048. The two girls have seen one of their concerts before and have ever since wanted to join Akb0048. Yuuko ran over to Kikan and they went to class together. After classes, Kikan went over to Yuuko's house. While they were on the road, Kikan screamed. "Kikan! Are you ok?" Yuuko asked, worried. "Y-yes...I am....but LOOK!" Kikan screamed and showed Yuuko her phone. On the phone it read:

"Auditions for 81st generation members are open now!"

Yuuko gasped. Her long-life dream has finally came to her. Tears formed in her eyes. "Yuuko? You ok?" Kikan asked, her turn to be worried. "I am, it's just.....I'm so happy I can finally audition for Akb0048!" Yuuko smiled between tears. Kikan hugged her. "Yep! We can finally be a part of the best idol group ever!" Kikan agreed, crying too. After they parted from their hug, a girl with long, black hair in a ponytail and black eyes as a hologram appeared on Kikan's phone. "Hello! This is Takahashi Minami the 6th. To audition, you must send us a video of yourself performing a song from Akb0048. As you all know, we are idols who no longer are "idols you can meet", but "idols who go see fans". So, we all await your applications!" The girl, Takamina the 6th, said. Just then, Oshima Yuko the 9th barged in. "We all await your applications!" She echoed after Takamina. The other members appeared and waved to the girls. "We all await your applications!" They all yelled once more, than they disappeared. "Wow!" Kikan beamed. Yuuko smiled to herself. *"We all await your applications!"* She remembered Akb0048 say. "I'm going to do this!" Yuuko exclaimed. Kikan looked at her in confusion. "Do what?" She asked. "Apply! They said they were waiting for us, didn't they?" Yuuko replied happily. "Alright then!" Kikan hugged Yuuko again and they ran home. After saying hi to Yuuko's mom, which was in the kitchen making dinner, they ran upstairs to Yuuko's room. Yuuko flopped down on her bed. "So let's audition tomorrow!" Kikan decided. Yuuko laughed. Kikan has always been taking charge in situations, and Yuuko didn't mind Kikan that way. That night, Yuuko and Kikan slept together. Kikan slept in her sleeping bag and Yuuko slept on her bed. Yuuko dreamed that she had joined Akb0048 and became a successor of Akb0048. The next morning, they woke up early. It was Saturday, so they ran to the nearby field to record. "So? Ready?" Kikan asked, excited. Yuuko nodded. *I have to do this! For my dream!* She thought. "I'll go first!" Yuuko said, ready and confident. "Ok! Here we go!" Kikan started recording. Yuuko took a deep breath than started to sing.
