    "I have two plane tickets to California, you need to go and stay with your mom, you'll be safe there."Nana said.

    "Wait....two tickets? I don't understand."I stated.

    "You and Josh are going. He will protect you."

    "What? No Nana I'm not leaving you or Sam."

    "It's okay baby I'll be safe, besides I can't leave I have so much to do here. I promise you I will be there soon, you need more training,"she handed the tickets to Josh",you better hurry and get to the airport."

     "I love you Nana."I said hugging her.

I have to be strong for my Nana she might seem tough on the outside, but without me she would be lost.

    "I love you more,now go before you miss your flight."She kissed me.

Josh led me out of the house to the car and we drove away to the airport.

    "Don't worry she'll be okay."Josh said squeezing my hand.

I hope he's right otherwise I will spend my life thinking everything's my fault if something were to happen to her. Josh pulled into the airport car lot. We got out of the car and walked over to the security booth.

    "I would like to hold my truck here for 3 weeks."Josh said.

The security officer got Josh's information then handed him a card.

     "Use this card to get your truck back."

Josh went back to the truck to get our bags while I got a snack from the vending machine inside the airport.

     "You really shouldn't be eating a honey bun."

     "Josh for the last time stop sneaking up on me, besides someone might see you." I hissed.

     "Don't worry babe no one was looking."

I sat down on one of those hard airport chairs and ate my unhealthy honey bun, which was delicious. It felt like we were in the airport forever. I had my headphones in trying to pass the time away.

   "Let's get lost at sea, where they will never find us, got stars at night to guide us."

    "Hey,babe I think you should save that beautiful voice for a whale convention."

   "Are you trying to say I sound like a whale?"I put my hand up to my chest to pretend that I was hurt.

   "Killer whale, humpback whale, gray whale, should I continue?"

   I hit him in the side with my elbow just to show him how much he is loved.

   "Ow babe you have pointy elbows." he chuckled and I just stuck out my tongue.

Around 9:30 p.m. our flight was finally called and we rushed to the plane. We were on the plane for six hours and didn't get to L.A. until 3,oh wait 12 o'clock in California.

     "Hi baby,"my mom said rushing to hug me as soon as she saw me."How was your flight?"

     "It was long...Where's dad?"

    "He's home sleep. You must be Josh,"pulling him into a big hug",Paris doesn't update me much in what's new in her life."

    "Mom, not the time."

    "You're right, anyways lets get you guys home."

On the drive to the house my mom was telling me all about her new job working on a police station as a secretary. I zoned out afterwards thinking about Howl. How come I couldn't see this before? Howl was always nice to me, he gave me a job when I needed one, he fed me, he helped me when I was sick...It scared me to think that my life was over.
