You must have fallen asleep on the train somehow. You found the air to feel different. Much colder than the atmosphere in the locomotive. Your head reeled and spun, but surprisingly, upon opening your eyes, you found your vision to be working just fine.
The room bathed itself in a light red glow, a tall lamp in the corner seeming to be the cause. The wallpaper wrapped seemingly all the way around where you sat, the chipping floral pattern contrasting harshly against the tense air you breathed.
Your eyes lulled down towards your lap, almost a bit confused on where your bindings went. The scratchy leather that once held your ankles together were surprisingly gone. You wasted no time standing to your feet, taking a few seconds to let your throbbing head settle.
A door caught your attention to the right of you, probably the only wooden thing you've noticed that wasn't rotting down. The paint looked rather new, a glossy sheen of fresh white paint only adding to the rough scent of the air. You hesitated, fingers curling around the brass doorknob that kept you separated from the other side. The wood slid open with difficulty, a sound making its way to your ears, but not from the door. No. Something much bigger huffing down your neck.
"Nice thing I caught you in time, darling. You value your legs, I see... or you would've run the first chance you got." The same voice from the train sounded, hot breath hitting the back of your ear.

HorrorYou awoke crudely to the sound of a train, blaring down on its horn seemingly just a few feet away. That can't be right. You live nowhere near any sorts of train tracks. Your vision is still black. Shouldn't your eyes be adjusted to the room by now?
