3rd Person POV

The hunters attacked in the middle of the night. When all the vikings were asleep. They dragged all the Berkians from their beds and to the Great Hall. The Berkians were all half-asleep and slightly confused on what was going on. When they reached for their weapons they were gone.

Astrid POV

Astrid heard the door being forced open and instantly looked out the window watching as Vigo's men forced their way into her house, she watched as the last man went in, she jumped out of the window and she carefully made her way to the forest, watching as the hunters were forcing their way into houses and dragging out vikings dragging them all up to the Great Hall. She eventually made it to the cove and wrote a quick message to Hiccup and sending Stormfly to the Edge.

Stoick POV

Stoick was angry and confused. Both emotions were towards their night attackers. He was angry that they took out every Viking on Berk but confused on who the attackers were.

"Stoick! Thank goodness we found you!" Ingrid Hofferson exclaimed. She sounded extremely worried and scared, next to her was her husband Axle, Ingrid's emotions displayed on his face.

"Don't worry Ingrid I will find out who our attackers are and we will show them what Berk is made of," Stoick told her, thinking that will calm her down but it didn't.

"Chief, that's not why we are so worried, it's Astrid, she's missing," Axle told him gruffly. Stoick's eyes widened.

That's when the doors opened and in come Vigo and Ryker.

"Vigo! I'm so sorry that you and your brother had to get caught up in this!" Stoick exclaimed. Vigo laughed.

"Oh Stoick, I'm not caught up in this, I'm the leader of this," Vigo smirked. Stoick stared at the Trader.

"What?" Stoick was so confused and he hated being confused as much as he hated being tricked.

"Do a head count for me Stoick or..." Vigo looked over to Ryker and nodded. Ryker walked over to the Jorgenson clan grabbing Snotlout and holding him by sword. "No more future Chief," Stoick sighed as he did a head count and realized that only one person was missing and that person was Astrid. If Astrid got away, he'll make sure she has a fighting chance.

"All here," he stated looking over to Vigo and asked what was on his mind, "Why?"

"Because Stoick, this is revenge for something one of your people did not to long ago," Vigo answered. Stoick frowned slightly. He did not remember anyone mentioning that they angered a group of warriors.

"She didn't tell you, huh? Well I guess that explains when she wasn't hanged for her betrayal and treason, speaking of which, where is she? I guess you lied when you said everyone was here," Vigo laughed at the confusion written on all the Berkians faces. He looked over at a group of his men and smirked. "Find that girl and find her fast, we don't want her warning her friends," Vigo walked out of the hall, Ryker following.

Soon the Berkians were by themselves in the hall.

"What did Vigo mean about Astrid, committing treason?" Spitlout asked looking over at the Hofferson clan. No one answered him.

"Vigo meant I broke Viking law," Someone said from the very back of the room. Everyone turned and parted so Stoick could see. There stood Astrid, leaning against the wall.

"What do you mean, which law?" Stoick asked

"More than one, but two main ones, Lying to your Chief and village and I'll let you figure out the other one, actually I didn't exactly lie, it was more withholding the truth," The blonde girl stated shrugging like it was no big deal.

"They are attacking the village Astrid! What did you do to them?" Stoick demanded.

"They tried to kill me first, what I did was revenge and Stoick I wasn't the only one who attacked them, others from other tribes did too," Astrid stated. Stoick glared at her.

"What tribes?" Stoick asked

"Vigo doesn't know where they are from and if he did he'll attack them as well," Astrid stated

"What tribes?" Stoick repeated, Astrid glared.

"Your just going to sell them out, I don't know how Vigo found me and I"m sorry that you got caught up in it," Astrid sighed, "I didn't want to come back anyway, someone tricked me into coming back here," she turned around and opened a door Stoick had no clue was even there until now, she glanced back and smiled. "Hiccup installed it so he could avoid bullies and sneak in and out of the place, I'll get rid of Vigo and you'll never see me again, that's the punishment right? Banishment?" Stoick opened his mouth but no words came out.

"Always trust Astrid's instincts," Everyone turned towards Gobber and stared. "What?! It's true! She's been right about everything,"
