Clara P.O.V

The six weeks flew by like a peaceful airplane soaring through the sky. Before I knew it, the Leagues were over. I was sad to know I wouldn't be able to plan them until next year, but a vacation is extremely needed, at least for me.

I was mounting Dragonite with Ninetales, our home being our destination. My mom had called me over a million times telling me she misses me, so why not surprise her?

Dragonite landed on the house's huge garden, notifying all of my Pokémon we arrived. One by one they greeted us, sometimes pushing us to the ground and tickling. After our brief greeting, I left Dragonite outside and took Ninetales with me to see my cheerful mother. I found her sitting on the couch, watching some boring TV show, so I carefully crept behind her and hovered my hands above her shoulders.

"Boo!" I yelled, once my hands touched my mother's upper arms. She shrieked, leaving me almost deaf.

"Clara! You're here!" she exclaimed as she turned around.

I smiled. "Yeah."

My mother left the couch and walked around it in order to reach me. Once she did, she crushed my insides, or more accurately, my ribs. "Ow, Mom. Missed you too."

She let go. "Sorry, I missed you so much! Can't a mother hug her daughter after not seeing her for 6 weeks?"

"Okay, fine. Come here," I apologized and threw my arms out, motioning my mother to come closer. She got the hint and embraced me once more before pulling away.

"All the Professors in Kumara sent you some letters about catching up, I believe. Don't worry though, I already did all the homework you were supposed to do," my mom said.

My mouth dropped. "What?"

"I thought you'd be tired when you arrived," my mom giggled. "So, I did your homework as a 'Welcome Home' gift."

"Mom, you didn't have to!" I exclaimed and took both of her hands in excitement.

She shook her head. "I wanted to. Now, go upstairs and get some rest! I bet you're too tired to function right now."

"Yes," I nodded harshly. "Good night!"

I ran up the stairs with Ninetales and plopped my body on my comfortable bed.

"Oh, bed," I muttered. "How much I missed you."

I forced myself to stand up and change into my pajamas. After doing my night routine, I tucked myself under the covers, turning the lights off in the process.

"Good night," I whispered.

I woke up to some ticklish feeling on my face. Brushing it off didn't work, so I opened my eyes to see Ninetales' tails moving from side to side on my bare skin.

"GET OFF!" I shrieked, pushing her off my face. She just laughed.

Might as well get ready then. I crawled to my closet in hopes of choosing an outfit, and luckily, it didn't take long:
