Emma woke up the next morning in her father's empty bed, she stretched out and glanced at the clock, it was 6:45 "fuck school" she groaned and got out of bed, long curly black hair messy and eyes sleepy, she walked downstairs and heard them from the kitchen "why the fuck did you wake me up so fuckin early, flake?" she heard Paul's voice full of sleep. "drink your coffee and when you're more bearable, we'll talk" Emma entered the kitchen just in time to see flake rolling his eyes. "good morning sunshine" flake greeted her sarcastically. "washing your pretty face would be nice, you know?" Richard smiled at her and held her for a second, then grabbed her by the arm and took her near the sink and splashed water in her face. "hey... Ow" she protested. Richard tried to make the messy hair a little less savage-like. "Uncle Z,,, this is... Ow,,"
"now that's better, you look a little less like tarzan" he smiled sweetly. Emma rolled her eyes at him and spat the leftover water in the sink, in the most non lady like manner. Then again being raised by 6 guys doesn't really leave room for being a lady."so you too, huh?" Paul sympathized with her. She took her sit next to Schneider and yawned and put her head on his shoulder and yawned again "you ha-... ve no I...dea.."
"OK let's get some coffee in you" Till put a mug in front of her and bend down to kiss her forhead. "there you go baby" she thanked him and took a sip. "hey what do you say I take you to school today on my lovely new bike? I got a spare helmet," Schneider tucked Emma's hair behind her ear. ",hmm?"
"really? You'd do that?" she asked with hope, "of course I would, sweetie" he smiled genuinely. Richard put a plate in front of her containing a PB and J sandwich. "here, eat"
"no..I want Cap'n crunch." she pouted.
"we ran out of those baby, Schneider will you go grocery shopping after you dropped her of?" Richard asked him. "yeah sure, just give me a list, you always ask me to buy so many crap and I always forget most of them" he sighed. "yeah it's a drummer thing, your kind tends to have an empty brain" Richard high fived Paul "revenge is a dish best served cold... Bitch" Paul growled and every one laughed. Schneider shook his head and smirked at them, "so is it your team up day, today? Cuz I need to leave the residence if it is" flake asked dryly but with a hint of a smile. "I'll seek shelter in Ollie's tree house" he added and every one rolled in laughter. Paul and Richard would slay everyone on their team up days, they became this one annoying diva monster together. The only one who loved it, was Emma. The rest of them would be annoyed out of their heads. "I'll go get ready" Emma announced after she was done with her breakfast. "OK, me too." said Schneider. "hey start writing the damn shopping list, kruspe" he added Rollin his eyes at Richard who was still grinning. "you're cute when you act all bossy, Schneider" and for saying that he got himself worthy of a hard punch in his shoulder. "ouch... You shit, that hurt..." Richard hissed.
"Awww... What's the matter Mr. Tough guy? Didn't think the little old me could hurt you?" Schneider smirked and others laughed. "shut up and go get ready" Richard furrowed while rubbing his shoulder. Schneider existed the kitchen with a happy face. They arrived at Emma's school, she got off the bike and Schneider helped her to get the helmet off and brushed away the hair from her gloomy and sad face. "hey,,, it'll be OK, don't be too hard on yourself, rainbow" it was his favorite nickname for Emma. He's been calling her that since she was born. "I hate this place, uncle schnei" Emma gave him a sad smile, very sad. "and it honestly scares me, I just wait all day for it to be over so I can just come home to you guys" her big blue eyes turned watery, Schneider felt his heart clenching at her small sad voice. "oh my sweet little rainbow... Come here" he held her tight in his arms, Emma didn't wanna let go, she buried her face in his neck. "I hate being like this... I feel like a disgusting spoiled child, but there's just nothing I can do about it, I can't be away from you, I never had to be. I was never in a completely strange place all by myself."
"hey... Shhh I understand baby, I get it, trust me. And don't ever say that about yourself again. It'll take some time to adjust, don't worry, I'll be there for you, OK? We all will. You've got nothing to worry about. I promise you, rainbow, every thing will be alright." he heard her sniffing in his neck and making an uncontrolled crying noise, she clutched her hands into the fabric at the back of his shirt. "please don't cry,,, hey let me look at you, come on,,," he said with a low and soothing voice. Emma looked at him, her eyelashes were wet and she was pale and shaky. "I'm sorry, I promised myself that I'd stopped being a cry baby about it" she wiped her face with her sleeve. "you're not a cry baby. You keep thinking all these bad things about yourself, you're just like Richard, he does the same thing but Emma you're perfect, again just like he is. Nothing negative you believe about yourself is true. Not a damn thing. Just give it time, can you do that for me baby? Please?" he took her chin and looked deep at her. Schneider never had children nor he wanted to, but he always imagined that if one day he does, it'll be difficult to love them more than he loved this girl in front of him, this kid who he helped raised, the nights he stayed up by her side when she was a baby, everything he taught her, every moment this little girl made his life better by shinning on it. During the mutter tour when they weren't talking to each other cuz they were so sick and tired of going city by city in a bus and having to act like they loved it the whole time they were playing, she was the only thing distracting all of them from the shitty environment. They played with her and home schooled her, or as Paul loved to call it bus schooling. They all felt the same about her. It was the weirdest thing. A kid with 6 fathers. It always made him laugh.
"I'll try... I promise" she said a bit more composed and calmed. "Thank you" he smiled kindly and kissed her wet cheek. "I'll be here when you're off, alright?" he took her hand and Emma noded in agreement. "awesome, now go learn how to be a shitty teenager but don't teach Paul, he's already a shitty five year old, we don't need him to stay like this when he grows up" he grinned and Emma giggled loudly. "later uncle schnei"
"later rainbow" he watched her until she got inside the school then he put his helmet back on and went to the grocery store to buy the items on Richard's long list.Hi... Sorry my chapters are super short but I'll be fast with updates. This is my first time writing, so I'd really appreciated your comments and opinions about this work. Thank you.
