Chapter 3 - Fire

1 December 2016, 10:30 PM

"It was definitely a man!" Krish was so sure about that. He waited there for few minutes.

The lift went straight to the 10th Floor. After Seeing that, Krish left. The watchman again made a note of his leaving time as 10:35PM.

Krish walked out in the street and searched for an OLA cab in the app. There was one cab available at 2 minutes away. He booked that cab and waited.

The cab arrived; he got in to the cab and told the address. It was a 20 minute travel. Krish told the driver, "Here it is, you can stop here!"

The car stopped. He paid via OLA money. He walked for a few steps. He reached his house where he and one of his friends stay together.

His friend name is Kathir. He is a photographer currently working in a kollywood film. He knocked the door. Kathir opened the door. He was talking to someone on his mobile. Probably his girlfriend!

Krish changed his dress and immediately lied down in the bed. He sent a "Good Night" text to Sathya. The Whats app showed only one tick. Her last seen was 2 hours ago. He fell asleep after sometime.

2 December 2016, 10:00 AM

"Krish did you see the news?" Kathir asked.

"No, What is so special today?" Krish replied while wearing his shirt.

"There was a fire at Sathya's apartment it seems, is her apartment name 'Star House'?"

Krish was shocked and said "Yes!!"

Someone knocked the door. Kathir opened it. There were two policemen standing outside.

"Who is Krish here?" one of the policemen asked.

"It's me sir! What can I do for you?" Krish replied politely.

"Do you know Sathya?"

"Yes Sir!!"

"How do you know her?"

"We work at the same company called 'Cloudica'. Why are you asking about her sir?"

"I am so sorry Mr. Krish. There was a fire at her apartment last night. We couldn't save her. She is GONE!"
