PIC OF UNKNOWN VAMPIRE -------------------------------------------------------------->

Chapter 12

Unknown POV

I stood at the edge of the woods, out of line of the suns blistering touch. It wouldn't kill me, but it wouldn't leave me in the best of health either. My eyes were trained on the white, wooden, two-storey house about a hundred yards from me. Or rather, they were trained on what was happening in the front garden. The girl, Jenna lay on the lawn, her chest rising slowly. I breathed in deeply. I could smell her delicious scent from there. Her grandmother, meanwhile had taken some sort of herb, lavender I think and made the end smolder. She slowly wafted it under her granddaughter's nose. Jenna's eyes flashed open, her head rose off the ground.

"I fainted?" She asked.

Her grandmother nodded.

"Ugh", her head flopped back. "You think you could have told me this earlier grammie? I mean it's not like its going to change my life or anything", she said sarcastically.

Her grandmother chuckled.

"You needed to find out in your own time dearie. I presume Alpha Kain has told you about the pack?"

Jenna groaned quietly.

"He told me a bit more than that", she said quietly.

I perked up; everyone loves a spot of gossip. Besides, this might come in useful.

"Oh?" her grandmother cocked her head to the side.

"I'm his mate, apparently".

My red eyes narrowed. So that's why that brown wolf interrupted me. I knew by the scent of him he was an alpha. A strong one at that. I was more than a match for him but at the time I was weak. I hadn't fed. The only taste of blood I had got was hers. Jenna's. I smiled coldly. And what a taste that was. The flavors had exploded in my mouth. Spicy and hot, yet sweet. It was unlike anything I had ever tasted before. I didn't recognize her blood type though, but judging by her parent's blood, it was probably extremely rare. I smile widened when I thought of how I had mutilated her parents. Some of my best work I think.

I watched her as her grandmother explained how she knew that she and 'Ross' were destined to be together. She explained that she didn't tell her about being a werewolf because she was different. Many werewolves shift first at the age of fourteen and then the changes happen until they are sixteen. She explained that Jenna had already gone through all the changes but she had never shifted. Jenna herself listened intently. She winced slightly whenever her parents were brought up. My smile returned at this. She had no way of knowing that I had planned their deaths. She was mine, mine from the day she had been born. Her blood belonged to me. She was my possession and I would be the only one to drink from her. Invading her dreams had been the first step. I had started the day she turned sixteen, the day she became fully mature, wolf wise. Then that stupid excuse of a werewolf had decided to interrupt me. I'd have to get rid of him, her mate. He could not be allowed to ruin my plan. My eyes narrowed. He'd be tough to be rid of but I wasn't going to worry. I would take down that mutt and then... well then Jenna would be mine. My own personal blood bank. I smiled slowly and licked my lips. I couldn't wait.

I had planned for this. I had planned to make the perfect blood type. Carefully matching people together until finally two werewolves of perfect bloodline mated and created the perfect blood sample. Of course because of her almost pedigree bloodline, she was perfect. Beautiful, strong and of course, she had blood to die for. The only flaw in her was her inability to shift into her wolf. I grinned to myself. Oh well, that means she won't be strong enough to fight me back. I watched her slowly sit up, still talking to her grandmother. Soon, she would be in my possession. Other vampires had blood slaves but no other vampire had probably ever tasted blood like hers. She was a carefully planned experiment that had worked. I smiled, taking one last look at her before turning around.
