I don't remember Jonas taking me into his house. And I definitely don't I remember changing clothes.
I blush and pull the covers around me.
He didn't change my clothes. Kara had to, right?
My face heats up even more as I look around me. I've never been inside of Kara and Jonas' house. The walls look too formal to be Kara's bedroom and looks too clean to be Jonas'.
Kara has told me stories.
He must've put me in a guest room. I roll over and pull the covers over my head. My eyes ache and my throat is scratchy. Thoughts of last night slip into my head.
Was I kidnapped?
What kind of crazy people put up such an elaborate scheme to get me?
But that's just it. No one would which means...Clark is trying to draw me out.
Has he betray me?
He's been the only family I've known. I trust him with my life.
Well, I used to.
With a groan, I fight away the burning in my eyes. Crying about it all day isn't going to fix the situation.
There's a light knock on the door before it opens. The covers stay over my head.
"Olivia?" Kara whispers.
I sigh. I've grown fond of Kara over the time I've spent here, but I don't feel like talking. The bed dips behind me.
"Olivia, do you want to talk about it?"
"No, Kara."
It gets silent. The silence goes on for quite a while before the bed dips some more.
"We're not going to school today."
If they did, I'd probably go somewhere else to hide. The video store would be a bust since Clara is probably going to set her sights on me after last night. I huff again.
This is so much more frustrating than keeping up with gossip the public makes about me.
"You can talk to me, Liv or you can talk to Jonas. We're both here for you. We're both on your side."
My chest hurts as I muffle my cries. I'll have to leave. I don't want to go. I'm losing everyone.
Kara's arm drapes over me and squeezes. "Please talk to me, Liv."
I can't hide it anymore as I cry harder. "I can't."
Her body tenses. Pulling down the covers, I chance looking at her. She looks hurt.
"What do you mean you can't? Don't you trust me?"
"I don't know who I trust anymore!" I cover my face. My body shakes with each cry.
The door opens again.
"What's going on?" Jonas asks.
It's not long before he pulls me to him. I sob into his chest. He rubs my back trying to calm me down. I don't want to cry anymore. I just want to go back to my old life.
"We want to help you, Olivia."
"Stop calling me that!" I snap fiercely.
They both look at me with big eyes. Nearly pulling my hair out the roots, I move it out of my face.
"You want us to stop calling you by your name?" Kara asks hesitantly.
"It's not my name! It's all lies! All of it!" I practically fall on my face trying to get out of the bed.
