I recognized the sound...
I never saw you coming back here,
Just to bring me down...
Please don't push that way,
No need for you to grab.
Have I ever fought you once?
Just gingerly take my hand.
I will move on my own will,
With my own two feet.
You know I am not afraid,
To follow you to despairs peak...
The road, it is a spiral.
So long has it agonized me...
The reason for the fear you sense,
Is the smile you eternally keep.
You're the one that has heard,
The screams I keep inside,
And tasted the tears I so often hide,
Just behind these tortured hazel eyes...
As this familiar walk slows to a crawl,
And you've brought me back to this place,
I wipe my years as I always have,
And realize your menacing smile... Is now on my own face...
I'm sorry the wattpad lines aren't long enough to make it easy to read but please try. I really like this one a lot. I wrote it during one of the darkest times of my life. I was just barely getting over a mental break down.
