I've always been told, that I'll understand when the time comes. Maybe that's why I was always curious, because I knew nothing. Every time I asked my mom what was she about to tell me, then one day, she sat me down, and told me what I was supposed to be told.
I was shocked honestly, that was something I never expected to happen to my family, especially not my mother, especially not her. She was cute and bubbly. She always finds the good within, no matter how bad the person or situation is.
Maybe that's why we had to move to a different state, because of that fucking monster. He left my mom with bruises, but he wasn't my father. No, my father died in the army, serving for our country. But I'm getting far to ahead of myself. Let me introduce you to, well, me.
My name is Kayley Adrianna Jones. I'm 16 years old. I am originally from Dallas, Texas. But I moved to Charlotte, in North Carolina. I loved it in Dallas, but in charlotte everything is so new and exciting to me. Just like the boys. Now, I didn't have that weird accent okay?
I talked like any other normal teenage girl. Not all country and stupid. I'm not a hillbilly, and I'm definitely not a red neck. I do not enjoy shooting animals, I do not enjoy bonfires and drinking beer. I always just kept to myself, maybe that's why they took interest.
Who is 'they' you might ask? Oh, the players at my school. Austin, Dustin, Mark, and King. King, he was the leader of them. Hence the name. His real name is Patrick, people nicknamed him king because he has never lost a football game for our school just yet.
When I moved to North Carolina, I noticed that my school was like that movie, mean girls. You had your plastics, your geeks, your dark kids, your thugs, and just your average ordinary silly kids. Now, the plastics rule the school. Their names were Haley, Kianna, and Justice.
Kianna was the ruler, Haley and Justice followed Kianna around like lost puppies. They were all really pretty, but their personalities made them really ugly. Kianna bullies anyone who doesn't look like her. Meaning, skinny, blonde hair, blue eyes, perfect teeth.
I wasn't really noticed by anyone until Patrick took an interest in me. He was in my ELA class and we were partnered up on a project, we had to write an essay, stating that we're parents, and how we got along. So for this, we had to be spending a lot of time together.
I wouldn't complain if he wasn't the most egomaniac asshole I've ever met, and that's saying a lot. He flirts with girls constantly. He's slept with every girl at our school, even my innocent friends. It wasn't their fault, they thought they could change the player.
Why does every girl stoop to that? Changing the player. I know they want to feel special. Like "Hey! I've made him stop his ways just for me!" But that's not the case. No matter how special and great you think you are, he has to feel the same way about you like that.
But anyways, don't let little ole me bother you. I hope you enjoy this crazy ride and have fun.
