Matthew stared at the setting sunset, red eye glowing from the yellow-orange rays the sun was letting off. He let out a soft smile, remembering how he and his father used to watch the sunset when he was a child...those days would never happen again, not since his father died from cancer, he started to remember how him and his boyfriend used to sit in the grass hold hands watch the clouds roll by the sunlight sky. That wouldn't happen again either, not since his boyfriend jumped out the window committing suicide 2-3 years ago; he and his family had moved here 2 months ago. It was strange on why they did not let people out after sundown. No one knew why they just went along with it...but today Matthew was going to find out why, he couldn't take it anymore, wanting to be able to run around in the woods at night, go to bars, go get things to eat, he didn't want to live like this anymore. This burning..this longing in the back of his mind wanting to find out why things were the way they were. He would forever regret that decision he had made that night, risking his "life" for this, he was to never be the same again.
