Matthew stared out the window, red eye wide in terror at the sight. His hands gripped the edge of the window, teeth gritting together, what he saw wasn't human, wasn't even close to it." W...what the he..heck is that?" he whispered in his weakest voice possible.

What Matthew saw was a dark tall creature staring at him with beady red eyes, it had sharp long teeth stained in a fresh crimson color, claws bigger and sharper than any knife, sword, and blade of any kind. It stood there, head snapped to the side, grinning widely. Slowly it spoke, its voice was deep, scratchy, and sounded like millions of people crying in agony "Run as fast as you can, Run Run Run all you want, and you'll never escape me" it let out a loud laugh it shook the house and caused rocks to crack, windows to shatter.

Matthew couldn't move, his hands were shaking as he gripped the edge of the window. Suddenly he snapped out of the trance the thing had put him in, he jumped back from the window and ran upstairs. His feet slammed against the old wooden steps, making a loud 'Thump' with every step he took. His breathing was starting to get heavier the more he ran, sweating bullets out of fear, he couldn't think straight..he was thinking of what that...that THING would do to him if it caught him, he ran up into the attic, slamming the trap door shut and locking it. He huffed and puffed to get the air in his lungs flowing properly again, the sweat dripped off his forehead and trickled down his face. He felt like it was safe...safe at last. He spoke too soon.

"You can't escape" Were the last words Matthew would ever hear again.
