PROLOGE:
“Ugh, hey mom my nose is bleeding, again.” Isabella Sawyer walked into the kitchen to find some vinegar and her mom.
“Oh my goodness, honey that’s the fifth time today. Let’s go to the doctor he might know something.” Great, Isabella thought, I probably have some disease. That was all she considered on her way to the doctor’s office, and even that she didn’t dwell on.
“Well it sounds like um, well, this is hard to tell anyone, but we need to test you for leukemia.” The doctor fiddled with the pen in his hand as he gave them the news. He couldn’t seem to look either of the patients in the eyes. Isabella fell to the floor. Why her? She was only seventeen years old and was about to get tested for cancer. Her mother’s eyes were wet as she asked how much time Isabella had to live.
