Chapter Three
Meeting the Boys
~~~
We were here. The Anderson house. Twelve boys live here (I added Adam and the dad in there). I am going to die.
George grabbed ahold of my hand as soon as I got him out of the car. He doesn't really like new things. We walked up the drive, which was pretty long. There were nicely trimmed bushes, and well cared for flowers along the wall of the house. I was nervous when we arrived at the door. We knocked, and knocked, and knocked, and knocked. Is anybody home?
"CHRIS, OPEN THE DAMN DOOR!" Karen yelled at the door.
"COMIN WOMAN!" A male voice yelled back.
"Do I always have to holler at you when y'all don't answer the door?" she asked. The door swung open reviling a shirtless teenager who I assumed was Chris. He had brown hair, and hazel eyes. He was muscular, but not stereotype. He was hot. Somehow I managed to keep a strait face while the bickered. Chris looked over and realized we were there too.
"Mom, who're they? And why are they on our porch?" he questioned, turning back to his mom. He, like his mom, also had a thick country accent.
"Peyton and George. I'll explain later, now go put a shirt on, then go get your brothers." she shooed him out, and he rolled his eyes. We watched him walk off then Karen turned to me.
"Sorry about that, not all of them are like 'im. That was Chris, you'll meet the other boys in a moment, but for now we need to get y'all settled. Now you'alls rooms are upstairs on the far right. If George here wants to stay in your room, then he can. If he wants his own, no problem. Follow me. NICK GRAB THE LUGGAGE OUT OF THE CAR AND BRING IT UPSTAIRS!" She led us to a flight of stairs and started to go up them. (the stairs looked like the grand staircase in those disney movies) I hauled George onto my hip, because he's not very good at climbing up staircases. You see, we lived in a one-story apartment before, because our parents didn't feel the need to purchase a larger home. When we made it to the top, George hopped down, and ran down the hall. Our room was larger than I expected. It was very roomy, carpeted, and two of the five walls had chalk-board paint. The other walls were white. It was amazing, with a walk-in closet too! Too bad we didn't a bathroom connected, but there's one down the hall. From the looks of it George wants to sleep in this room while we're here. Fine with me, he usually sleeps with me anyway.
" Come on George, Peyton. Time to meet my boys," she hurried us down the stairs. We walked down the grand staircase, where a group of boys were standing side-by-side facing us. They each had matching outfits on. Nice black dress pants, and a white dress shirt. But their ties and bows were different. The younger siblings had different colored bows on, and the older ones had different colored ties on. They all looked like they stepped out of a magazine with their good looks. They had either strait brown hair, or shaggy blonde hair. Although, the two youngest had bright red hair, and green-brown eyes.
The brothers were in order by their age. And (thankfully) had name tags on. As i expected, they all had thick country accents, and on the little ones they sounded really cute. Karen explained about how we'll be staying here for a while, but not why. I'm glad she didn't, because I hate when people pity me. Back to the boys. They all introduced themselves. Benny and Toby were first. They were the four year old red-haired twins. One seemed to be shyer and calmer than the other. Next was Kyle who was nine and quiet. Ryan was thirteen, and had a lot of cuts and bruises. I'm guessing he played sports. The fourteen year old West, was very sweet. The second set of twins were seventeen and looked like trouble. Chris and Nick, I should stay away from them. Liam was also seventeen, and had wavy bleach blonde hair. He was VERY cute. Ethan was eighteen, and a senior at Bridgewood High School. I was starting there next week (three days). The oldest was Ian, but he is at college. The cousins weren't here yet either. All the teens looked athletic, so was I. I did track and field at my old school. And I love to dance. Personally I think I'm not very good at singing, but everyone else tells me the opposite. I also play piano, I wonder if the Andrews have one in this big house of theirs...
Nothing exciting happened for the rest of the day. I just unpacked, and the brothers had to do homework and what-not. After dinner I excused George and I. I took a shower and gave him a bath. We put our PJs on, and as soon as my head hit the pillow I fell asleep. It's been a long day.
