Shinobi History and a Fallen Bird
Gaara's P.O.V.
My fingers flew over the keyboard of my super computer. Searching for anything, any form of existence of who Crow really was. My attempts came up empty, as they always did and I sighed in frustration. I'd never had such trouble finding anybody in this city. Even the information I had learned today about the kid didn't hold any meaning unless I knew who he was... I growled in anger sweeping my arm across my desk in a rage. Various papers and pens scattered across the floor. My desk lamp shattered against the far wall. I gripped the bridge of my nose and took deep breaths, trying to remind myself that I am a different person than the monster I used to be. I wasn't going to loose myself to my rage again. If it wasn't for Naruto... Things would have been much different. A knocking on my door caused me to snap out of it.
"Gaara? Is everything alright in there?" Kankuro's voice filtered through the door before it opened slightly.
"It's fine Kankuro." I answered back a little irritated. He opened the door and stepped in glancing at the mess on the floor.
"Doesn't look fine." I rolled my eyes and sat back in my chair. Konkuro leaned against the wall. "What has you all riled up?"
"You would know if you didn't skip school today." Kankuro almost fell over, caught red handed.
"Heh... Heheh, That interesting huh?" He nervously scratched his neck trying to change the subject of him playing hookie.
"We got a new student." I answered and his face lit up a bit, all the nervousness gone now and replaced with curiosity.
"No shit?" He thought for a moment. "That's unusual, normally they never take new students in the middle of the year."
"That's because they didn't." My head snapped to the balcony where the sliding door was left open and in the blinding moonlight stood a dark figure. Konkuro immediately took a fighting stance.
"When the hell..." He started but I cut him off with an outstretched hand. I relaxed a little now that I knew who it was. Crow made his way inside as silently as he had arrived.
"So that was you that spoke, I didn't think I'd see you so soon. What do you need?" Konkuro relaxed a little but didn't let down his guard. Konkuro and Temari had met Crow only once before and it had only been briefly, but he knew how deadly this vanguard could be. Crow took his normal seat on the edge of my bed. His small figure cloaked in his normal black body armor making him appear larger than he was.
"There's no need to hide my voice from you now and I need answers." The room was quiet for a moment before he spoke up again obviously confused about something. "Uh... What happened in here?" He looked confused at the various items scattered on the floor. I ignored it.
"What do you mean you need answers? What about?" I was trying to get him to reveal more about himself. He sighed heavily and laid back with a hand over his eyes. He pulled his hood back revealing his white hair.
"Look... My memory is... A bit fuzzy. I don't remember much of anything before a few years ago." He turned his head to face us and I could see a dull sadness hidden in his deep golden eyes.
"You suffer from memory loss?" It was Konkuro that spoke up.
"Memory loss or suppression, either way the effect is the same. When I was fighting Sasori I'd over heard your conversation on the stands-"
"You fought Sasori?!" Kankuro interrupted.
"Again, if you hadn't skipped you would know this." I motioned for Crow to continue.
