"Ma'am we cannot arrest somebody simply because they've made you wet." She heard for the second time today.
Ester was enraged as she narrowed her eyes at the man in front of her.

"So all this- me coming here was for nothing?" She threw her hands in the air. The police man, who was patiently sitting behind his desk until now, sighed and started rubbing his temples on each sides of his head. Ester felt sorry for the guy, but not enough to let it go and leave him alone.

"As I mentioned in the conversation we've had over the phone not even an hour ago, we can't do anything against that. I am sorry, ma'am." He said, clearing his throat to continue, but the stubborn woman shook her head, already opening her mouth again.

"I am not leaving until somebody does something. I almost caught a cold last night, because of this reckless driver! And if I were sick now? Wouldn't that be a violation against my rights?" Ester asked him, starting to suddenly cough as if her life depended on it.

But the man saw right through her, rolling his eyes when she was still at it, closing her eyes in the process. He's had enough! He was already bold, but was sure if he had some hairs left on his head, they'd be gone by now.

"Ma'am." He said in a monotone voice, making Ester stop and blush when she realized she's overdone it as she felt a zillion eyes burn holes through her skin. Damned police departments and their lack of walls and privacy.

"Again, I'm very sorry for what happened to you. But this is really a waste of your, as well as my time. Please do respect that." He stood up, making Ester sigh in defeat. What was she even doing here? Was that how she interpreted getting out of her comfort zone? Because she felt extremely embarrassed and uncomfortable at that very moment.

"You're right. I-uh. I know my way out." She quickly said, standing up as well, grabbing her purse and walking out of the police department. How embarrassing was that? What in the world just happened in there? She couldn't even recognize herself. In fact she found she was acting like her crazy roommate.

Well, she wasn't crazy. Just really opinionated and wasn't afraid to show that. She needed new friends, Ester thought. More friends actually. Because even though Olivia was the way she was, she could never even imagine a life without her. It's been too long since she's surrounded herself with other people and Olivia has always been there for her.

Ester made her way back to the bus station, still feeling warm and uncomfortable. She shouldn't have come here in the first place. But what's done is done. She should view this embarrassing event as a lesson.

She needed to change stuff! Which immediately reminded her of the damn dance studio she never found last night. The streets were already dry as Ester glanced at them, before lifting up her left arm to see what time it was.

Two bus stops later, Ester found herself standing in front of that pink house again. This time, she came prepared as she pulled out her mobile phone, turned on the 4G and started typing the address of the dance studio into google maps. As she suspected, google maps showed her exactly where she had to go.

So she took a turn, rounded a corner and walked many steps forward. When the app told her that she has reached her destination, Ester looked up from the display and lifted an eyebrow.

Either google maps was unreliable or this grey, boring building was indeed supposed to be one of the best dance studios in town. She shouldn't judge a book by its cover, she thought as her feet took her towards the entrance of the building.

It looked so empty and depressing, but to her surprise the door opened when she pulled on the doorknob. As soon as she did that, music reached her ears and a musky scent surrounded her being. Now she was sure, this was indeed the dance studio she was looking for.
