The Sky Above

Prologue

Out of curiosity, I entered this dark forest alone. Curiosity kills, really. Shattered on the decaying leaves was his cold blood. The blood of the man I love. The man who lifted me up from everything. One blink, the stained leaves turned to a white surface and the forest turned to a pure white dome with a blurry surrounding. Am I flying? Am I drugged? Or am I just imagining things that wouldn't happen? I hope so. I felt the tears falling on my cheeks. Why is it not stopping?

"Stop.. Please.." I whispered. Trying to wipe my tears. A silhouette came out from nowhere of the place where I am. It was a man, slowly walking towards me. I know him. Finally, my tears stopped. He was wearing his genuine smile, I know. I have no guts to move right now. I just want to stare at his face. His dark eyes were filled with emotions. Sadness, grief, sorrow.

"I told you not to cry. I wont go away from you. Just promise me that I'll still be in your heart." He uttered pointing his index finger on my chest. I nodded as an answer. I stepped towards him, but suddenly everything disappeared and turned to black.

Where is he? Did he just left me again? Can someone explain this to me? I need answers. Where did he go? I need him. This can't be happening again.

"Just look at the sky above when you feel alone. I'll be there watching you. I'll keep you in my heart. Forever..."

My face was flooded by tears as I read this note. How can I stop crying, knowing that he's gone? How can I escape sadness without you? Tell me.
