After my conversation with Apollo, she admitted it. She admitted how she's going to married Wu and act like nothing happened between her and Wonho. She wants her parents love even though she can't see how toxic it is.
I can't let this happen.
She deserves to be happy. She deserves to have what she wants. She wants Wonho. It's as clear as water. She loves him but won't admit it because she's scared.
I refuse to see her get married in three months. Hell, I'll get married if it means she can be happy.
"What's wrong, Kana?" Hyungwon suddenly asked as he placed his handed on top of mine which was resting on my desk.
Jumping at the sudden contact, I immediately feel better once I see his eyes soften. I'm still getting used to this. Him being able to completely see through me. Before I can even ask how, he speaks.
"You had that zoned out and empty look again, tell me what's wrong." He softly says while running his thumb calmly across the side of my hand.
"Apollo. She-" alright breathe Kana. "She's suffering and I want to help her. I want to see her happy." I explain, eyes trained on the smooth black surface of my desk.
Then it hits me. I know what to do. I know how to help her. I hope he's already a step ahead.
Standing up from my desk and unfortunately removing my hand from his.
I hope that never permanently happens. I can't lose him. Not after coming this far. I would miss him.
Widening my eyes at what I just thought, I take determined steps out of my office and into the mainspace.
Ah, just the person I'm looking for. Tapping him on the shoulder, he turns around slowly from the conversation he was having with Taehyung and Minhyuk. Raven hair, misvhevious eyes, and built frame. Seems like Apollo's type and just by watching them interact it's obvious there's so much more than friends there.
"Yes, Ms.Light?" Wonho says formally, earning him an eyeroll.
"Cut the formalities, Wonho. If anything I should be using them with you, but that's besides the point. This is about Apollo." I say, widening my eyes at my bluntness.
I watch the way his eyes transform from lightheartedness to complete seriousness. His body language goes from relaxed to more defensive.
"What about her?" He asks with concern running through ever word.
"You love her, don't you?" I say, crossing my arms in a way that dares him to lie.
I notice Hyungwon's figure out of the corner of my eye as he comes to stand beside us silently.
"I.." he pauses and sighs then continues sounding more and more sure if himself with every word.
"I do. I love her."
Thought so. It's so painfully obvious. I wish they would act on it.
"That's what I thought. We can't let her get married. She doesn't want it. No one wants it for her well being. I want her happy. She wants you. She will get what she wants for once in her life. So, Wonho. Do this for me. Stay with her whenever you can. She's already fallen for you. She loves you. Just make her come to her senses please." I explain to him.
After a few seconds of thinking he nods.
"I was planning on doing that anyway. There's no way in hell I'm letting her get in yet another arranged marriage. Not after the last one." He states.
We all cringe at the last sentence for multiple reasons.
Well, for the time being as in the rest of the day. I'll leave it up to him.
Long fingers grab both of my hands and pull me towards the owner. Hyungwon's adorable face displays a pout.
"I'm going to need you to stop looking so worried. For the rest of the day no crying, frowning, or sadness. If you feel like any of those. Come to me. I promise I can try and make it better for the time being. Okay?" He says with s cute smile.
Nodding in agreeance. I shock myself. I really have started to trust him.
What are you doing to me?
He engulfs me in another hug and his long and lanky arms wrap completely around my thin waist. It's comforting and safe in feeling.
"Guys! Guys! Guys! It's happening, oh my it's happening! Stay CALM! STAY CALM! IT'S MY SHIP! MY SHIP HAS SAILED!" Hobi yells at the top of his lungs while running around like a mad man.
Which results in Hyungwon and I quietly giggling then full on cackling. This is why Hoseok is great. The pure sunshine.
