Unexplainable the love that only we could understand

"Hey, Abigail!" Rebecca pulled the girl in front of her into a tight embrace.
"Hey, Rebecca! Do you know where Liam is?"
"Oh, he'll be in the library or something." She said, releasing her from her embrace.
"I'll go and see him. See you later!" And with that she headed towards the library. It was quiet large, twice as large as Liam's room with four couches and a table in the middle. Books adorned all the walls and there was a French window on one side over looking the garden. Sunlight filtered through the windows, silhouetting Liam as he sat on one of the brown leather couches with a book in his hand. She went over to him and covered his eyes with her hands as he groaned, "I know it's you Abbs!"
"Ugh! Are you so intelligent or am I so stupid?"
"I guess it's both."
"I would totally bash your shitload of a face but then I'm in a good mood. So thank your lucky stars, Li!"
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever." He said nodding his head.
"And why is everyone in the house so busy? The girls mostly. Are you having a party or something?" Abigail asked, remembering how Rebecca actually would have pushed her over if she hadn't moved while entering the manor. She had been running around with a make-up kit in her hand.
"There was an invitation to attend the King's birthday Ball, so-" He had hardly finished before Abigail started going crazy. "Are you kidding me? The birthday ball of the king? Like seriously. Who was the invitation from? When did you get it? Why didn't you inform me earlier? Is Ignatius going? When are you going? When will you be back? What are you going to wear?" Liam was being bombarded with questions.
"Calm down, Abbs. I'll tell you everything. Just. Calm. Down. Yeah?"
"Alright. Tell me everything. Now!"
"Um... we got the invitation today morning, while having breakfast. It was from Lord Raynott. You remember him right?
"How can I forget that sonofabitch who took Adrienne away? But how did you get it anyway?"
"Um... since we are the last living relatives of the wife of a Lord, we are invited."
She just hummed in response. Liam continued, " It's tomorrow, at the Eunice Eudora Hotel. I don't know when I'll be back. And I don't know what to wear. Mother picked out some outfits for me to choose from and I didn't pick one. Can you help me choose?"
"Yeah, sure. But it's Ignatius coming?"
"I don't know, Ab." There was a note of sadness in his voice, "Maybe I should ask him. Are you free now? We could go now."
"Uh... I'm not going with you. I'll help here." She said with a smile. Don't want to be the third wheel.
"Okay, then." His heart fluttered at the thought of spending some time with Ignatius.
"What are you waiting for then? Go now."
"Okay. I love you." He kissed her cheek and made his way out. "Love you too, Li." Abigail called out as she saw her friend walk away from her, to his love.
Liam, Ignatius and Abigail had been friends since they could hardly speak. She didn't know what love was until she saw her best friends fall in love. Ignatius was caring, kind and outgoing. Liam was just like him. Maybe that was why they fit so perfectly. Whenever she saw them, the only thing that came to her mind was they were made for each other.
Abigail grabbed a book from one of the shelves and went to Rebecca's room. She didn't have to ask anyone because the Payne manor was like a second home to her. The door was wide open and as she knocked, she could hear Rebecca's voice say "Come in."
She entered the room and had the feeling that a tornado had just struck the room. The floor was littered with pumps, stilettos, platforms, bow sandals, gladiators, clogs, mules and every other kind of footwear. The bed was cluttered with fluffy gowns and evening dresses in different colours and materials while Rebecca was trying one of them. She looked at Abigail through the mirror and asked, "How does this one look?"
"Don't you think it exposes too much?" She was wearing a red bodycon dress trimmed with sequins and pearls with halter straps. The dress stopped just above her knee. It had a lace basque waist overlay on it but that covered nothing. The deep V of the halter neckline put her ample cleavage on display.
"You don't get to go to the King's birthday ball everyday. And who wouldn't want to be married to one of the Royals?" She raised an eyebrow at Abigail.
Abigail didn't say anything. What was she supposed to say? Getting married to a Royal meant freedom for not only one person, but to whole families. Sure, it was not a freedom that would allow one to do whatever one wanted but it would atleast make them richer and powerful and definitely way more better than before.
The afternoon went by as Abigail went from one room to another, helping with the dresses the others had to wear and helping Astoria with the boy's outfits as she made some alterations. Abigail was sitting outside under a tree when she saw Liam coming towards her in a red sweatshirt. Had to be Ignatius'. He had a radiant smile on his face and she knew it was because he had spent time with Ignatius. He reached her and sat beside her smiling and looking at the grounds.
"Well..." she prodded.
"He's coming. His father works for the Royals, right? They wouldn't leave out on his family." He was still smiling.
He would tell her about how he and Ignatius made plans for their future. She wondered how that kind of happiness would feel like. To have someone to plan your future with. And whenever the three were together, Liam and Ignatius would sneak a kiss when they thought she wasn't looking. But she would see it and would feel a pang of hurt because she would never have something like that. She pushed her thoughts away and stood up.
"C'mon, let's decide on your outfit, Li."
"Yeah, right."
They went to Liam's room and started looking through the outfits Astoria had picked up. Liam was trying the first one when Narcissa and Rebecca came in. Liam's smile was contagious and he was almost glowing. "I want mine to match Ignatius', Abbs."
"Well, what is he wearing?"
"Wait a minute. He's not coming, is he?' It was Rebecca.
"Ofcourse, he is. His father works for the Royals, remember?"
She let out a groan. "Liam, you can do much better than a stupid human. You are more worth than you put yourself to be. He doesn't deserve you."
"Well, Rebecca, even we are humans. Does that make us stupid?" She never understood how much her words hurt others. Liam knew she only wanted the best for him but she doesn't understand that Ignatius is what is best for him.
"You-" She was cut off by Narcissa, "Guys, let's discuss this later, yeah?
"Whatever, sis" Rebecca slumped on the bed.
"Now, let's sort out you outfit." Abigail picked up a dark blue two- button single- breasted suit jacket with a notched lapel and flip pockets to go with the basic five buttons vest Liam had on.
While she helped Liam to pick up his ensemble for the Ball, she could only think about what would happen if someone stopped her from choosing her partner/ Would she fight for him like Liam? Or would she give up like Adrienne? Be turned into an empty shell? She didn't know. Afterall who would like a girl with boring brown eyes, medium length brunette hair and olive skin?
Only time will tell.

Hey there guys! Harry's going on tour soon!! Excited to see him perform. He likes being on stage... remember when he said it felt so right to stand there on the stage, feel the band playing behind, feel the pulse... he's gonna be a real blessing. I wish Liam drops a single or something. It's been such a long time.
