Early next morning I wake up to the sound of tiny birds chirping by my windowsill. I go downstairs and have a decent breakfast of cereal and a coffee to boost me up after what happened yesterday.
I have a bath and decide to wear something formal. Hmmm what could be the perfect outfit? Aha! I put on a white mohair sweater my mum gifted me last year and a sleek black pencil skirt hitched just above my knee.
I walk outside the house and into my car, and take my journey to the police station. I want to bring justice to Jessica no matter what.
I approach the police station and a sickening feeling churns in my stomach. I had never visited a police station and just having to go there made me feel sick.
I walk inside shakily, and introduce myself to an officer. She is a woman who may be in her thirties. Her soft ginger curls are tied steadily in a bun, however some locks must have escaped from the bun and are gently brushing her pale cheeks.
I go through the mystery of the abandoned ville and tell her about a girl who may have been murdered. I obviously did not tell her about the incident from yesterday otherwise she wouldn't even listen to me.
She gives me a helpless smile and tells me about how investigation had been taken of the house previously and no evidence could be obtained except for a body of a dead girl.
I plead for help and explain that there must be a hidden clue and that we just have to search it. She seemed to be very kind and agreed to help. So we travelled back to the ville.
I show her the diary I had found and then a deep search in the store room is done by a group of officers.
To my horror, a sharp knife stained with dry blood is found. The officers take it in for forensic research and advise me to leave the house immediately.
I decide not to leave the house since there is no harm to me from Jessica. I know she sees me as a friend so without much thinking I don't move out.
I lie on the couch eating a packet of chips, wondering when they will finally imprison Jessica's uncle and aunt.
Suddenly I receive a phone call and I see who its from. The police. I quickly answer the phone wondering if there is any news about Jessica in the call.
The police had claimed that were handprints of Jessica's uncle on the knife and they had tracked him down.
But unfortunately he and his family had already died in a car crash six weeks ago.
Was this a good news or bad? What will I tell Jessica? What will happen next?
