***IMPORTANT INFO***
This is a short guide to the Werewolf universe in This book, other authors may change it, but this how I write it. Hope this helps you if you are new or confused.

~~Werewolves~~
Created by the Moon Goddess, the Werewolves are the largest group of mythical creatures. Werewolves when they shift, or in other words turn into their wolves, they turn into actual wolves that look a bit bigger than a normal sized wolf. Werewolves normally shift at about 16-18, and the first shift is very painful but the more you shift the easier it becomes.

Werewolves have a wolf mind/person, that can speak to them. I like to understand it as the wolf is a person in your mind that can speak to you and when Angry/Worried/Turned on by their mate, can take over your body for a moment.

Werewolves have faster reflexes, better hearing, better eyesight, better taste, better sense of smell, Heal faster, and are faster than the normal human. All in all they are better in almost better at everything.

--Packs/Rogues--
A Pack is a group of Werewolves that is like a big huge family, with the Alpha and the Luna as the father and mother. In my books each pack has a business that the Alpha maintains and is CEO of, which is how the pack gets all their money. Then when the Alpha and Luna has a kid that's 18+ The Alpha can hand down the Alpha position to them and they become Alpha. A pack also has a pack house that is where most of the Teens/Young adults, live. Alpha's and Luna's usually live in the pack house but sometimes have their own house. A pack has a pack Doctor that takes care of the injured instead of them going to a normal hospital. Werewolves is they have a mind link which they can speak to their pack or mates, telepathically, at any moment whether human or wolf.

Rogues are werewolves that do not live within a pack. Most of the time a Rogue is a violent creature that is taken over by the work by anger most of the time from being cast out of the pack, or depression from the loss of a mate or child. The other kind of Rogues are most of the time quite nice and just want to live their lives outside the rule of a pack.

--Mates--

Werewolves have mates, a shorter term for soul mates (the person you were made for). The only way to know someone is your mate is to touch, which causes 'sparks', which is a pleasure when you touch your mate. When you find your mate, you start what's called the mateing process, which is:

1. Meeting your mate. Which is pretty self explanatory, so I am not going to explain that.

2. Marking. Is where the Male, and if the Female is a Werewolf, bite their mates neck (where your shoulder meets your neck). The mark after healing a bit, stays looking like a bite mark.

If the the couple doesn't mark each other within the first month the couple goes into Heat, where the female is in pain unless the male is in close proximity (touching), the heat makes the male want the female. The Heat lasts anywhere from 2-7 days depending on the person.

3. Mating. This is where the couple basically have sex, and in the Werewolf world this is practically marriage. After they mate the other person's name shows up on the bite mark, looking like a tattoo, signifying that you are theirs in every way possible.

If the couple doesn't mate within the first month after the Marking, they go into another heat that won't end until they mate.

If the couple refuses to be together, they will slowly die away until both die. But mates are literally made for each other, so there is almost no point in refusing the mate bond, which is the force that pulls mates together and attracts them.

--Ranks--

-Alpha : The Alpha is the leader of a Werewolf Pack (a group of werewolves). He leads the pack and gives the pack the things they need. The Alpha is the strongest wolf and protects his mate/kids and his pack. The Alpha acts like a Father to the pack.

-Luna: The Luna is the Alpha's mate and while the Alpha takes care of the pack by protecting them, the Luna takes care of the pack as a mother would and listens to their problems. The Luna is equally in charge of the pack, and is the most important member of the pack, without the Luna the pack slowly dies away.

-Beta: The second in command. The Beta helps the Alpha and when the Alpha is away the Beta takes care while they are away.

-Beta Female: The Beta's mate, and helps the Luna with everything she does. When the Luna is away the Beta Female takes over as Luna, while the Luna is away.

-Gamma/Third in Command: Pretty self explanatory. The Gamma's are in charge of the training and trains the pack. But the Alpha teaches them, so the Alpha is stronger.

-Messengers: Send messages to other packs or others, usually about two to three in a pack.

-Warriors: Help guard the pack against Rogues (lone wolves).

-Pack Doctor/Nurses: The Doctors for the pack.

-Omegas: I don't usually use these but when I do they are like the people who help clean and cook. But in other Author's books they are normally slaves.

-Normal Pack Members: Self explanatory.

~~The Moon Goddess~~
She created the first Werewolf and with the help of Fates (keep reading to find out what those are.) pair and make sure mates meet each other. The Moon Goddess pairs the mates, and it's the Fates job to make sure they meet.

~~Fates~~
A Fate is a mythical creature that I made up myself. And they are very similar to Werewolves, but instead of shifting into a wolf, they sprout white wings out of their back and can chose when they come out. Fates also have mates and can be mates to a Werewolf.

The Fates are ruled by a King and a Queen. Fates have special powers like opening a portal to the Fate kingdom, which is in a small alternate universe.

A Fate has the normal abilities like better hearing, faster reflexes, faster healing, and better eyesight, though they don't have as strong of smelling as a werewolf.

~~Hybrids~~
Sometimes when two mates are from different mythical species mate and have children, the children sometimes takes on both genes or one becomes more dominant than the other and the child is just that one.

For example if a Werewolf and a Fate had kids, the kids would usually be both Werewolf and Fate. If this happens their wolf form would be the color white to signify they are a half Fate/half Werewolf Hybrid, since their wings are white.
