Chapter 18 Life sucks

"Carter I'm sick" Jamie says I look at her

"I really am carter" I nod she's a manipulative bitch don't believe her. She sighs and leaves and I stay with Anna until visiting hours are over.

One month later

It's been exactly one month 2 weeks 3 days since Anna has been in a coma there's been no hope.i go see her every day I sing her a song and stay till visiting hours. Anna's been asleep for her. Birthday. this last month has been hell. I sigh and eat my cereal very monotone I finish my cereal and do my Saturday routine I eat shower work out then I go see Anna. I walk in and sign myself in on the visitors list and start to Anna's room. I walk in her room to see her nurse Lisa checking on her. She gives me a reassuring smile I return it. Then sit in the chair next to her bed. I pull up one song that brings back memories it's a song I wrote for Anna when I was 14 and sung to her on her 14th birthday It's called pretty little thang.

I finish the last line remembering when I first sung that to Anna I sigh. And. Lay my head on her hospital bed and whisper ever so softly.

"Anna your my pretty little thang" I lay there and end up falling asleep. I awake to a bunch of beeping and. People yelling and me being shook.

"Sorry sir were gonna have to ask you to leave there's Been an emergency" I look around and. Realize I'm in a hospital wait I was visiting Anna. Anna I look at her bed but I can't see her there's to many doctors.

"What's going on" I ask the nurse looks at. Me

I'm sorry sir please we don't know right now so please we need you to go" the nurse says pulling me out of the chair.

"No I can't she needs me"

"Sir please" she says pulling me towards the door.

"Not until I know she's ok" she looks behind her and calls for help and a big security guard coms over.

"Sir please go in the hallway" I give him a dirty look and go in the hallway to find a 5 month pregnant hunter panicking and my mom and lee and Jamie trying to calm her down. whys Jamie here. I look at hunter.

"Hunter what's going on" she looks at me

"No one knows I got a call saying Anna's monitored started speeding up and stuff" I sigh and run my fingers through my hair. And walk over. To hunter.

"Hey hunter please sit down calm down don't stress it's not good for the baby." She glares at me

"I can't calm down until I know Anna's ok" I think for a minute what would Ben do.

"Hunter would Ben want you stressing over Anna why'll be pregnate it could harm yourself and the baby what would Ben tell you" she looks at em at the mention of Ben and sits down.

We sit there for a good hour until a doctor that isn't what were used to comes out.

"Family of Anna smith" we all stand up

"That's us" she scans us

"And how are you all relation" I point at hunter.

"Shes her legal." I stop myself Anna's 18 she was asleep for her birthday I sigh.

"She's her sister in law" I correct myself

"Im her boyfriend this is my sister and mom" I say pointing at lee and my mom. Then Jamie speaks up.

"I'm her mom" I look at Jamie

"You lost that privilege Anna wouldn't want you here" she glares at me as the Doctor speaks.
