Sammy

I was listening to my favorite YouTube song in the hallway during study hall. I needed a break from the classroom, so I took a walk through the winding school corridors. I have my special blue earbuds in and walk to the Starbucks on school campus, humming along with the song. I order my normal drink and continue with my walk. I make a stupid decision and decide to close my eyes- just for my favorite part of the song. But, instead of walking straight, I run into someone. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" I exclaim. I look up, and to my horror, I see Jay Adams. He's been my crush since 6th grade. "I..." I start. He helps me up. "No worries. Are you alright?" He asks. Aahh! He's actually talking to me! I panic. "Y-Ya, I'm fine." I stutter. I facepalm on the inside. Seriously, Sam?  I ask myself. He smiles, and my heart melts. It took all of my energy not to swoon. What am I thinking? I have no chance with him. He's already dating Britney, the cheerleader.

Jay

She smiles back at me. "I'll see you in geography." I say, turn around, and walk back to homeroom. I look back at her.

She's kinda

She's kinda.... Wait, what am I thinking?  "Jay! There you are, I was looking for you!" I hear behind me. I turn and come face-to-face with Brittney.

"Hey, Brit!" I say. She smiles at me. "Watchya doin'?" She asks. "I'm just going back to homeroom." I tell her. She walks up next to me, still smiling. "I'll walk with you." She offers.

"Thanks, Brit, but I'm not 2 years old." I tell her.

She stops smiling. "Fine. I'll see you in math." She says. Brittney turns around and walks away. To be honest, I was thankful that she left. She's been hitting on me since, like, forever. I saw Samantha glaring at Britney and I pretended not to noticed. I just smiled at her and walked to homeroom.
