~Chapter 1~
Skin, paler than the day before, glinted the slightest in the moon light.
"Elk!" A familiar voice greeted the girl, and she shot out of bed.
"Yes, Zen?" She asked curiously. Who else would it be? Rag wasn't quiet a man, and Zagon, well, Zagon was just a boy. Zen was the only grown adult in the pack.
"Hey, it's not Zen!" The man scowled. Oh Kitso! Elk brought her face to her hand in a casual face-palm.
"Sorry Kitso." She groaned. "I'm just really out of it. Exhausting day yesterday, I guess." She fumbled to try and find words.
"Didn't you sleep?" Now genuine concern danced in his voice. He was standing at the doorway to Elk's room. His usual white hair waving in the bit of wind Elk's window leaked.
"A bit" She said stiffly. Pushing her legs off the bed and onto the floor. Standing up her usual hight. Elk's hair was red, like fire. Eye's the same color. She wore a brown skirt, and white shirt. A sword strapped to her back. She was a fighter. Half-wolf-demon, like most of the people in the pack. Kitso, well, Kitso's age and species remained a secret. Did he even know? Elk pondered on that question a bit blankly.
"Kastosi is here to see you, Elk" Another familiar voice rang through the semi-empty halls of The Pack's Mansion. Lynn. Elk sighed.
"Let him in" She spoke softly, eyeing Kitso. Whom, despite his behavior, despised the guy.
The relationship between Elk, Kastosi, and Kitso, was a love triangle. And it was obvious. Although Elk liked to call it a love square. Strange, right?
Kitso narrowed his eyes', "I'll leave then." He spoke softly. Annoyance was obvious in his voice.
Elk frowned. It was rare to see any emotion on the strange Beta's face. "Bye" She whispered softly, but by the time the word came out, Kitso had left. That man was good, too good. She narrowed her eyes.
Kastosi walked in a bit shy. "Hey Elk?" He asked lowly.
"Yeah?"
"Wanna hunt?"
"Sure"
Elk sure loved hunting.
Kastosi nodded his reply before, awkwardly, grabbing her hand and leading her out of her room and down the stairs. Where, uh-oh, they met up with a familiar face.
"Hey Lynn" Elk greeted the Alpha of the pack.
"Where are you headed to?" She asked with a low grumble.
"Hunting" Her reply was stern. Like a scolding father.
"Not now, Elk, it's too dangerous" She said before heading off to her room.
Elk sighed. "Guess we ain't going then, eh?" Kastosi asked with a disappointed groan.
"Then I guess you don't know me at all!" She said with a laugh. Booking it out the door. Having let go of Kastosi's hand on the way.
This was followed by Kastosi knocking Elk over, and a few laughs.
Lynn watched from the window. Growling. "Does she ever listen!?" Lynn asked to know one but herself.
"I don't believe so" A voice whispered in her ear. And Lynn relaxed into the body of Brason.
"You're probably right." She closed her eyes. Falling asleep right there, in Brason's arms.

Ah well theres chapter 1 for all who's reading my story!
If you're wondering, not all of this is coming from my imagination.
I go to a role-play site, and this is kind of the back story based on whatever happens at 'the clearing'. XD
