Chapter 41

(Lauren's POV)

"But here's a problem," said Eric, "I don't have mine!"

"What? What do you mean you don't have yours?!?" I yelled.

"I don't have it! But if I have Dad's....then he must have mine!" Eric said.

"We have to find yours!" Niall said.

"If any one of our necklaces get destroyed, then our powers go away...so do we." I said, remembering from something I've read.

"Why don't we destroy your Dad's first?" Louis suggested.

I looked at the fox necklace. I threw it on the ground and stomped my foot on it. I lifted my foot up. The necklace was unharmed. I tried smashing it again. Nothing. Eric tried crushing it with a boulder. It didn't work. What? Why won't Dad's break? If it won't break, then we have to find him and get Eric's necklace back. Now, where would Dad go to?

(Eric's POV)

Dad's necklace wouldn't break? Why was that? I tried smashing it with a boulder, and it was still unharmed. Not even a scratch. Well, if we can't destroy his necklace, we have to find mine before he destroys it.

"Where would Dad be right now?" I asked.

"Probably in a really good hiding place." Lauren said.

We looked around.

"Is there a way where you can locate him?" Niall asked.

I thought hard. But nothing came to mind. Lauren has more knowledge about this than I do.

"Maybe. I need to look." Lauren said. "But if we do find him, we have to be careful. This is exactly what he wants; us to look for him. It will get him closer to me."

I nodded. "We have to do this quick."

I didn't know where to start, but Lauren did. We had to go back to our flat, since the boys were taking a break from touring. I followed Lauren to her room. She pulled out a drawer that had a book in it. She took it out and opened it.

"In my spare time, I read this. It has everything we need to know." Lauren explained. "Dad doesn't know about this book, so he doesn't know as much as I do."

She flipped to a page that said, how to locate a lost necklace.

"If Dad has Eric's necklace, we'll be able to locate it. Then we'll be able to locate him." Lauren continued.

"It says, to locate a necklace you must feel like the animal that is on the necklace." Niall read. He paused. "Feel like that animal? What?"

"I think it means to feel like you're that animal. How could you not figure that out?" Louis said.

"So, like if we were trying to find Lauren's necklace, we have to feel like we're a tiger?" Aiden said.

"I think." I said.

"Eric, what's your animal?" Niall asked me.

I couldn't remember. Oh, what was it? Panda? No, I don't think that's right. A kangaroo?? No..not that either...GRRRR..it started with a D...Dog? Deer? Dolphin? Dove? Duck? Drag...dra...DRAGON!!

"A dragon!!" I burst out. "My animal is a dragon! But, how do I feel like I'm a dragon?"

"Try imagining yourself having wings. And you can fly, and you have fire breath!" said Niall.

I closed my eyes. I imagined that I was a dragon. I had wings. I flew around the city. I had fire breath. I burned everything in sight. Then, slowly an image started to form. Then, I saw my necklace. It was sitting on a desk in a....cave? No wait, it's a house. Then, it was being picked up. Dad. He walked outside. I could see a house number. 572. The address....Conch St...that's just two blocks from here! Where is he going? A bar, of course. Well, that's all I needed to see. I quick opened my eyes.
