Zack's P.O.V.

I woke up to my dad poking me in the side.

"Get up, your sister and girlfriend are finally done with the bathroom." My dad said and I got up. I slid into some torn black jeans with a dark gray 'Kiss' shirt.

I walked into the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I combed my hair and put on my eyeliner.

When I walked downstairs Anna and Jackie were having a staring contest. I snuck up behind Jackie and screamed in her ear. I didn't just scream, I did screamo. Jackie jumped and Anna put her fist into the air.

"I win!" Anna cried. Jackie pouted.

"You cheated!" She said.

"No, he just simply chose to help me." Anna said.

"It's still cheating, even if he is your boyfriend." Jackie said. I kissed Anna.

"Dude gross, I was planning on eating at this table." Jackie said.

"You'll live." I said. Jackie shrugged.

"Yeah, you're right. I like tofu too much." Jackie said.

"Zack, honey remember you guys have to leave on time today." My mom said. "You got suspended your first day at that school. The least you could do is be on time."

"Okay. Love you Mom!" I said. My mom left the house after yelling back.

"Don't we all love me!"

"Not all the time." Jackie said. I looked at her. She was never negative towards our mom.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked. Jackie straightened up.

"Yeah, she just forgot to buy me more tofu yesterday." Jackie said forcing a smile. I looked at her.

"Okay, whatever." I said. I got up and grabbed my car keys.

"Guys, come on." I said.

"He says to two girls." Jackie said. Something was definitely wrong. I didn't want Anna to worry about Jackie though, so I said nothing.

Jackie's P.O.V.

After a fifteen minute ride of listening to Zack sing along to 1D and the latest pop I got out of the car when Zack parked the car. Normally Zack would have noticed I was upset and asked me what was wrong. Not today though. And I didn't really care. I was making sure no one knew how sad and angry I was. I wanted it all back.

I spent my morning ignoring all the girls who mocked me. I ignored how the jock behind me pulled my hair through third hour. All this was a curse and blessing at the same time. I hated how they treated me, but this was something Ben no longer had to deal with. Something he didn't even have chance at.

When lunch came I stayed in the girl's bathroom. I hadn't been eating lunch for months. When I was at home I ate but always threw it up when no one else noticed. They didn't notice because I was the happy one, the one who hadn't lost a best friend, the one that never cried to anyone. I was the one they could all ignore.

The afternoon ticked by and finally I was released. I didn't go to meet Zack. Instead I decided to go to where I could cry and complain. I texted Zack and told him I was staying after at school. Then I headed for where everything had happened. Where I'd seen Ben die.

Anna's P.O.V.

The bell rang for the end of the day and I practically ran to my locker. I avoided Ryan and Tyler all day and I didn't want to bump into them. I grabbed all of my homework and shoved it in my backpack. I slammed my locker shut and Darla stashed a flyer in my face.

"Since you are a senior! Emo, you should totally go to the farewell dance with your freak of a boyfriend!" Darla said and skipped off. She stopped by one of the popular girls and handed her a flyer as well. I looked at the one I was holding. Darla had written something on it.

'It's time we stopped this hatred, Anna, you're not a bad person.

I looked at it shocked that Darla actually knew my name. I didn't really care what she meant by 'stopping the hatred' because I knew I wasn't going.

"I didn't know you liked school events." Zack said. I looked at him and crumpled up the flyer.

"I don't. Darla just practically slammed it into my face." I said.

"Well anyways let's go." Zack said. "Jackie's staying after so we can leave without her."

"What do you mean? I saw Jackie storm out of school the second the last bell rang." I said.

"It must have been someone else. Jackie never lies to me." Zack said as if he were trying to convince himself more than me.

"Okay, whatever we'll see her later. This way we have sometime to ourselves." I said with a devilish grin. Zack smiled as well and we went to get in his car. We were about ten feet from his car when I stopped frozen in my tracks. Leaning against the car was Rodney. Every time he showed up something bad happened to me.

"Anna, I was disappointed to hear from your father that you chose not to come stay with me." Rodney said in a gravelly voice. Zack looked down at me.

"Who's he?" Zack asked. I grabbed onto Zack's hand in childish fear.

"He's a friend of my father's. I was suppose to go live with him when my dad kicked me out, but I chose not to because he's a rapist." I said to Zack. Zack stepped between me and Rodney.

"I think you should leave." Zack said. Rodney smiled.

"She's breaking the rules by being here. She should be with me. I promise I won't hurt her like her father did." Rodney stepped forward and Zack took a step towards him in a warning.

"She's not going with you." Zack said. Rodney punched him and grabbed my arm.

"Let's go." Rodney said. Zack tackled Rodney and pinned him to the ground.

"Anna, run!" Zack yelled.

"No!" I grabbed Zack's shoulder and pulled him off of Rodney. I took his hand and we ran to Zack's car. Zack slid in the driver's side. I was about to get in when Rodney grabbed me by the waist and threw me in the back of a van. I heard Zack yell but a moment later Rodney was in the driver's seat and driving away. I tried desperately to get out but I couldn't.

I was trapped.
