"Wow."

That was all I could utter from the moment I stepped a foot near Stanford University. I couldn't believe I was standing before my dream school and the fact that I was qualified for it made my heart somersault in excitement.

It was real. Too real. I was going to college soon and I couldn't wait long enough.

The atmosphere was great. It wasn't your typical state university with the crowded spaces. Stanford was a little more chill and it was just ideally crowded for my liking. And the good thing about it is that it's still situated around Bay Area, so I didn't have to go too far from my family. Or to the place I grew up in, basically.

While I was in Stanford, it felt like home. It felt like, even if I spend a whole year there, I wouldn't be homesick.

Shay told me she'd be going to SF State if she pursued it, Klay was considering Washington State, and I had no idea where Stephen would be in college. He hasn't told me, but the last time we discussed about it, we were still together and he was highly considering Berkeley so he wouldn't be far away from me.

But again, that was when we were together. His plans might change and I didn't have a say in it anymore.

Passing through the open hall, I stopped at one of the bulletin boards and checked the school calendar for next year.

It was going to be an exciting fall season for me and I had all summer to prepare.

"Excuse me?"

I turned to the voice, surprised that someone somehow recognized me.

A good looking guy stood behind me with a friendly smile. He wasn't that tall but he wasn't short either and he had that preppy yet bad boy look on him. The scent of his perfume was so strong but it smelled like a rich boy's perfume.

"Hey, sorry. I'm kinda lost," he said, biting his lip and gesturing towards the papers he had. "Do you know where the business building is?"

I smiled apologetically. "Um, I'm not familiar with the place yet too."

"Oh, it's okay." He chuckled in embarrassment. "Sorry, I thought you study here."

Judging from the papers he was holding, I realized he was here for the same reason as me.

"Are you gonna pass requirements too?" I asked.

He nodded. "Yeah. Are you?"

"Yeah," I answered, and we suddenly just chuckled at the awkward small talk. "So, what will you be taking up?"

He scrunched his nose and I assumed it was because it wasn't a program of his choice. "I was forced to study business."

Well, he did strike me as a business student.
