Normani Kordei was a beautiful dark skinned woman, who was nervous has hell for this blind date. She cursed out her best friend as she stood in her closet looking for something to wear. It was a 3 star restaurant so not over the top fancy but she still wanted to look nice.
"Dinah I hate you for making me do this" Normani told her friend who was sat on Normani's bed texting her girlfriend.
Normani threw a dress at her and glared when Dinah finally looked up.
"It'll be fun, don't be such a Debby downer" Dinah jested with her frazzled friend.
"Dinah, I'm serious. I don't think I'm ready" Normani frowned as she plopped herself down on the edge of her bed.
"Mani, don't think about him. He was an asshole that wasn't worth your time" Dinah side hugged Normani and then hopped to her feet.
"Let's find a killer dress for you, even if it's just to make you feel like the amazingly gorgeous woman you are" Dinah grinned and grabbed Normani's hands pulling her up to her feet with a smile on her face.
"You're the best" Normani smiled sincerely and hugged Dinah tightly before pushing her into her wardrobe.
Dinah gasped at all the clothes all over the floor, shoes where thrown around. Dinah blinked, looked at Normani and then again at the mess.
"Oh girl, go sit." Dinah smirked pushing Normani out of the closet, Dinah began to search through the dresses that were left on their hangers.
After a few carefully minutes consideration, Dinah chose a black and white patterned dress over a black dress that had two splits either side.
"Mani, try this on. I'll find you some shoes" Dinah held out the dress for Normani to take.
Dinah chose a think heeled black high heel that had a single strap for the ankle.
Dinah exited the closet to find Normani in her black lace underwear stepping into the dress.
"Looking good, hot stuff" Dinah teased leaving the shoes by Mani's feet.
"Are you sure this isn't too much?" Normani asked as she posted for Dinah, who had helped her finally choose a dress.
"Let's ask the girls shall we?" Dinah suggested knowing that her friend needed more conformation as she didn't feel confident in herself.
