Chapter Seven
The chinook landed with a soft thud onto the courtyard beside the house. The house was where their target supposedly was held captive. The courtyard was huge, almost a football field in length. There were shipping crates everywhere, which would provide great cover, but it was unnerving, because each crate could hide an enemy. The team would have to be cautious.
"Okay, everyone have their silencers on?" asked Cuttek. The rest of the squad nodded. Tarkus had a huge M-60E4 and a desert eagle. Cuttek had a Barrett 50-cal sniper rifle and a ballistic knife, with a grey and black striped hilt. Keegan had a Bizon sub-machine gun with a silver mag and a silencer. His knife was crimson with a black hilt. Antonach had a-
BDAM! BDAM! Gunfire erupted from on top of the house, and Taliban shooters emerged from behind crates. The team was surrounded.
"Where did they all come from!?" yelled Antonach, as the squad dove for cover behind some supply crates.
"I don't know, get to the damn house!" yelled Cuttek, who started sniping the gunman on the roof. The team slowly maneuvered their way through the crates. Cutter shot the guy on the roof, and then reloaded and snuck around a crate. Just then, a Taliban fighter came around the other side. Silently, Cuttek grabbed the man's shoulder, pulled him back, and sank his ballistic knife into the man's neck. The Taliban gunman fell silently to the ground.
Meanwhile, Tarkus was unloading clip after clip of ammo into the enemies, who were starting to realize that this squad was pretty good. Keegan rolled to a nearby crate, and shot a Taliban who was trying to flank him. Then he snuck behind another who was aiming at Antonach, and pulled the guy back and slit his throat.
The team slowly moved toward the looming dark house, which was getting closer as they fought. Finally, they reached the door. Antonach kicked it down and was about to throw a grenade in, when a voice inside said, "I'd reconsider that if I were you. Weapons down, please. "
