Damn I think. I think I love him. No. I don't it's too soon. I've been with him for like three weeks it's too much for that little time. But he cares so much. He's really trying to protect me. He wants to protect me. Maybe I should give in and let him. Yeah I was scared but I gotta admit this is kind of exciting just being around him dodging trouble. Just don't let yourself fall to deep Amora. Is all I ask. Don't get too deep and then you can't get out. Don't let yourself drown in his sea. Don't love him. Don't love him.

I couldn't go anywhere. Sure I had places to go. I didn't wanna go anywhere . So we stayed in my office all night

Yeah.. We.. Amaia too. She's still here. Sitting on my lap looking at me.

Nico. What am I going to do with you?

I knew she wouldn't respond but I didn't really know what else to do. What did dads usually do with their daughters? No, no I'm not a dad, I'm not her father. I'm her... caretaker, for now.

She smiled at me and I slightly smiled back at her. It was still dark outside. Then my office phone rang it was from downstairs.

Kim. You have a visitor says he is Kian from Royalty

Nico. Shit

I said looking back at Amaia. I can't let anyone know about her, no one can know she's here.

Nico. Don't send him up. Um. Send Lisa up here please

Kim. Sure do you want me to tell him to wait

Nico. I'll be down in five

That's all I said before I hung up then in came Lisa.

Lisa. Hey is something wrong?

Nico. I need you to keep her, Kian is here and I can't let him know about her

Lisa. Okay

Nico. I shouldn't be gone more than ten

I looked at her and kissed her on the head before I handed her over to Lisa. I don't want to leave her. I'm the only one who can protect her and although Kian has never done anything bad, anyone from another syndicate is always a threat.

But I did it and I left her. I made sure I locked my office. No one but Lisa needs to be there.

I proceeded down the stairs to meet Kian.

Kian. Nice to see you Nico

Nico. Nice to see you Kian

Kian. I heard you stopped by earlier I apologize that my security gave you such a problem

Nico. It's fine, yeah I stopped by to let you know that your problem has been resolved. The gang is exterminated.

Kian. Oh you took care of the problem personally how interesting

He gave me a weird look.

Nico. I went to assist my men

Kian. Yeah cause you know people in power don't really need to be seen with the hit men, they are below us. We are like kings and they are our servants

He said letting out a little chuckle and laying on palm on the desk.

Nico. Not here. Everyone is family.

I said putting both of my hands in my pockets.

Kian. You seem different

Nico. Do I?

Kian. You're hiding something

Nico. I have nothing to hide

I was trying not to show it but I was breaking a sweat. Fuck what if he tries to wonder around.

Nico. Take a stroll with me then I'll show you around

I will take him only where I want him to go that way I can keep an eye on him.

Kian. I'd love to

So as we walked around the syndicate I was doing a pretty good job of keeping him away from all of the top secret areas where our meetings happen, this basement everyone is to evacuate from in case of any danger, the server room where I keep my hackers, and of course.. my office.

I thought we were doing good but I realized the way we had to come out of the building we had to pass my office. So we did.

Kian. What's in here?

Nico. Nothing let's go

Kian. What is it? I want to know
He said reaching for the doorknob.

So I took him and pinned him up at the wall.

Nico. I said nothing

Kian. I knew you were hiding something
He said while kneeing me in the gut and swinging my door open.

Now he knows, now I have to kill him, I said pulling out my gun and choking him from behind.
