You know how people have dreams and Idols. Well this is mine. To be the best band ever. I could rock out and still get good grades and hopefully not fail out of middle school, but how could that happen I'm only a kid. "Brrrring" That's the school bell. Now it's time for my lunch period. I walk out to the hallway and see my best friend Trouble.
"Hey Trouble" Trouble was my very best friend.
Sometimes I was jealous of her long brown hair. It was better than my medium scrawny black hair. In some way she actually looked like a princess.
We were friends ever since preschool. That means I've been through 7 years of tears, happy moments, and crushes. "Hey Amy" Trouble said cheerfully. That's me Amy. The girl who gets good grades and looks like an angel, but deep inside I'm a rocker chick searching for a way to show my inner rocker.
"Did you see Dylan today he was so hot and he kept starring in my direction" I said like I was in love. "OMG. You like Dylan." Trouble said surprised. "Yes I know I just found out today to" I said
Dylan is a cute, funny guy that everyone loves. It doesn't matter if you were sad he would just say anything and you would end up laughing. How I know? He was in my 4th grade class. Trust me if my desk got put next to his, my notes would look like scribble scrabble cause he made me laugh so hard I couldn't write
"Wow this is major" Trouble said worriedly. "You can't tell anyone or my life will be over." I whined. "Fine then I won't." Trouble mused. As soon as we got to the cafeteria or what my friends call it the cafe we took a seat all the way in the back, one table away from Dylan. "Why do we have to sit here today? Dylan's right there." I complained. "We always sit here, and stop complaining its getting annoying." Trouble confessed.
Just then Mark came up to us. Mark was a cool guy , and was the student body president. He loves music and is in the glee club. "Hey guys" Mark said. "Hey" we both said at the same time then burst into laughter. "So we're doing a fundraiser all the money goes to the school. It's like the battle of the bands. It's going to be awesome." Mark said excitedly. He both gave us a piece of paper with information on it.

"This is awesome." I mused. "We'll try to be there. Thanks a lot Mark." Trouble said loudly as he walked off. "No prob" he yelled across the cafe. "I just got a major idea" Trouble screamed. "We could make a band and be in the fundraiser!" she said excitedly. "What?" I yelled. "We can't do that we're going to have to buy instruments, learn how to play, buy amplifiers all in just one month." I screamed worriedly. Now I'm pretty sure Trouble finally went nuts. "No. I have amplifiers, and an electric guitar and a bass guitar. I could teach you just enough to start a band." Trouble proved. "I guess we could try" I lowered my voice cause people were starting to stare. "This is going to be great." She cheered.
"What are you guys screaming about?" Paris asked. Paris was in my Home Economics class. She always had different colored streak in her blonde hair every week. Today the streak was pink I'm not surprised that next week it's going to be blue. We also go to chorus together. She has an amazing voice.
"We're going to start a band and be in the fundraiser." Trouble cheered. I pushed the paper towards Paris. "Oh cool. Can I be in it? All great rock bands need a great singer" Paris begged. "Okay" Trouble cheered again.
"All we need is a drummer. I think it should be a boy we don't want an all girls band do we?" Paris claimed. "True." I said. "Lets think of some boy's names and they have to get a yes or a no and a reason why." Trouble declared. "Okay." Paris answered. "David Brown?" Paris started. "To clingy" Trouble said. "Eric Roberts?" "He picks his nose and doesn't have rhythm." "Hmmm. What about Dylan Smith?" Paris declared. "He's perfect!" Trouble said. "No! He can't be in the band." I said "Do you know how awkward it will be." I complained. "We need him Aim!" she begged. Trouble only called me Aim when she was really desperate, so I could tell she really wanted to win. "Fine" I grumbled. "Yay!" She cheered over and over again.
Since it was Trouble's idea it was only fair that she had to ask. Trouble left the table and went to Dylan's table. "Hi Dylan. Can I speak to you alone?" Trouble asked politely. "Sure" He answered. They both went out side in the hallway. "Hi" Trouble said sweetly. "Hey." Dylan answered. "So I was wondering umm we're making a band and umm well we need a drummer, so umm can you be our drummer?" Trouble asked. "I'm on bass, Amy's on lead guitar, and Paris is the singer." Trouble said. "Oh cool. I'd be more than happy to do it. When do we have practice?" He asked. "Every week on Wednesday and Friday. You have your own drum set don't you?" she asked. "Yeah. I got everything, so your house tomorrow." "Yeah. See you there." Trouble said excitedly. Trouble and Dylan used to be best friends in the forth grade. They always used to go to each others houses. "Brrrg."
When I got to gym class I changed and went back out. I couldn't think of anything else, but Dylan. I wonder if he said yes. What if he said no? I don't know what to think. My head fluttered with ideas. SMACK! Just then a sharp pain hit my cheek and I went flying. Turns out I was just hit with a dodge ball and boy did it hurt! It left a huge red mark on my face that hurt when you touched it. When Gym was over I met Trouble and Paris in the hallway. "Hey" I said. "What happened to your face" Trouble said curiously. " Two words dodge ball." I said grumpily
