An obvious step to repelling a fxxkboy is to never take his side. No matter what the situation, a girl should never find herself agreeing with a fxxkboy. Agreeing only leads to a continuation of fxxkboy antics... and you wouldn't want that.
Kevin and I sat in the student lounge, feeling somewhat anxious of what the day would bring. I wasn't sure if Betty was on speaking terms with us since we were still on good terms with Veronica.
"So, when they come in, which side will you take? Team B or V?" asked Kevin.
"What are you talking about?"
"I'll take Team V, for Veronica. I think I'm scared of Betty right now,"
"Kevin, we are not taking sides, you weirdo," I hissed. "We'll just see how things go and then whoever Betty decides to talk to will go with her,"
"I bet you wanna take Team V," he accused. I rolled my eyes and stifled a laugh.
"Just relax,"
The door to the student lounge opened to reveal Betty and Veronica smiling in their conversation.
"What on earth..." Kevin trailed off. We watched them converse as they walked towards our couch.
"Anyway, I'll talk to you later. Chuck is waiting for me over there," Veronica mentioned. She gave Kevin and I a little wave before meeting up with Chuck.
Betty sat down with us and gave us a smile. We just stared at her in wonder.
"What, you guys?" she questioned.
"Nothing!" We both said in unison.
"I know what you're thinking... I was blind and last night I was reminded of Cheryl's true colours. I'm cured. I am never speaking to that wench again,"
"Right," I agreed. "And you're aware that Veronica meant no harm,"
"Yeah, I'm sorry about yesterday,"
"Don't mention it. We all have our bad moments," I smiled.
"And Sheriff Keller's grilling me," a loud voice boomed. "Mantle the Magnificent."
"Oh boy," I whispered. The three of us stopped our conversation and whipped our heads to look at the towering, dark-haired jock.
"Because I'd want Blossom dead. When he was like the only good quarterback we had," Reggie spoke. He raised his voice, as he always did when he was calling for attention. That's how much people respected and feared him. He didn't need to clap his hands or beckon people over. All he had to do was start speaking, and people would start listening.
"Speaking of offensive tight ends, I should've sent the cops to you, Moose,"
"What the hell is that ass-hat talking about now," Kevin spoke defensively. He lightly tapped my arm. "No offence to you, Mia."
"None taken. He is an ass-hat," I agreed.
"Because here's another unsolved mystery. What exactly were you and Kevin doing at the river, huh? Or does being with the sheriff's son give you a free pass... Keller?"
Reggie diverted his attention from Moose to Kevin, sending a smug glance in his direction. His eyes seemed to avoid mine and I was dying to smack his mouth shut at that very moment.
"Just ignore him, Kev," I told him.
"I don't care what he says," he grumbled. "But, Mia, next time tell your man to lay off, alright?"
