Chapter 16

On Monday ,me and Emma got up early and wen to the stables alone with Lora Chloe and Amy and the polo team the polo Instructor called us all in
" to day is the first day of ,the show week ,in a minute ,I want you to go with you teacher and talk about the plan the hat changed ,the polo match will go first ,then we will have lunch and the the cross county course "

Me and the girls went with miss Ross the the course we walked it and said what we have to do and to avoid ,then we got changed washed the horse went to breakfast with the school and parents started arriving ,the parents and teacher were in the school hall eating cake with coffee and tea ,the polo team got ready to start ,we groomed the horses and cleaned out tack .

Everyone gather around the polo field and watched the game ,parents were with children ,mine didn't come that had work but it didn't bother me ,I spent my time with raven ,then we had lunch,it was like a giant picnic,I had a cheese sandwich and a apple I kept the apple ,and wen to ravens stall I had ten minutes till we had to go to our horse to tack them up ,I went to her stall ,and gave her the apple she ate it happily

" you know raven you have to be the best you can be for this week ok ,but if you can't I'm fine with it you can't do this "

She looked up at me as of she understood then went back to her apple ,I groomed her a bit and talked a more to her I was the only one ,the groomed were checking the polo horses ,and the others are still with there parents,I checked the time and it was half an hour till everyone goes to the cross country course ,I slowly started to tack raven up just as I was doing her girth up miss Ross and Emma came in the pen Lora Amy and Chloe thus all wen to there horses to tack then up ,I finish and brush out ravens mane with my hands I lead her out and I'm ready she is ready .

" so I will call you up the speaker will say your name to the crowed ,then you go ,after the course come back and the next person goes "

We were in the inside arena ,when she tolled us to go we go through the doors out across the field then the announcer says our name and we jump the course ,I looked over at Emma,she was tense
" it's ok you be fine plus you have jumped higher "
She seemed so pleased by my words ,Lora went up ,then Chloe ,Emma Amy .

Amy had just left ,and I was last ,I new the course and I had jumped higher bare back ,mis Ross talked to the walky-talky,she nodded for me to go I kicked raven on to a steady gallop ,we went though the doors when the announcer said
" and the last of the first year a team for jumping class ,joe black on ravens dark feathers "

As he finished I passed the start line we were in the meadows people were gathered on the sides the first jump was ahead ,I lined raven up and we jumped ,the rest of the course went perfectly we jumped the last ,and I slowed raven down to join the others miss Ross was there ,everyone clapped ,and we left .

That was the first event and tomorrow I was helping emma as she has dressage ,at the stables I was about to leave to my dorm as I finished with raven when I herd Emma running up to me

" hey so party tomorrow "

" I'm exited "
" why it is just a dance ,faith food ,and other people "
" guess what "
" what ?"
" I got asked to go with someone "
" you can get asked ?"
" yeah "
" cane you get asked the day before "
" I don't think so "

" why I though you would like someone to go with "
" no thank you I am not the romantic type ,but good luck with smooching"
And with that I ran to my dorm room with Emma jot on my tail

Tuesday
I helped tack up raven and calm down a scared Emma to the best of my ability ,I went to the stance of the out door arena and leaned agents it Emma s next ,she was called and came in ,in full shining rack that I helped clean and crisp white jodhpurs,her rutile was beautiful ,and perfectly executed ,I went back to the stables and ran up to her

After a early diner I went to the stables I grabbed my new neck rope and jumped on raven ,everyone would now be eating and the adult have now left,it was dark now and most people were now in side ,I went to the cross country course ,and went out a bit further so no one could see me and started jumping ,In the forest I could berly see where I was going but I could see enough to know there was a jump coming up ,the moon shone down on us .

I went In to the dorm house at seven and went to my room has a shower and went straight to bed ,because tomorrow was my show jumping and I had to face Emma , because she will want to do my hair and makeup for the dance I think that will be the biggest challenge .
