The Bajaj Village
A young child crawls out of the Babaj Village and heads for a dark forest not pleasing to most people.
"Whoa, where are you going?" A man lifts up the child and puts her on his lap. He notices the child reaching for the forest. He looks at the forest and sees nothing there. "No, no, no, No child of mine is going in there." He puts the child back on the heated ground, and grabs her hand. They walk through the village until they come upon a red-brown teepee. THe father of the child, picks her up and sets her back in her blankets.
A few hours later, the father wakes up to yelling and screaming, smoke takes over the air. He tries to get up, but just falls back down. The impact of the smoke crushed and filled his lungs. He hears his baby crying. He stretches his hands into the bright, smokey, room trying to remember the room. He grabs a nearby table and pulls his way until he reaches his child. He picks her up and takes her basket. He holds her close to his body. He made his way to the exit and sees others running frantically.
"HELP! HELP ME!" THe man turned around and saw another man was trying to get out but could not see where he was going. He got to the man and helped him out. The man asked who he was.
"I am Pon, I am a fellow warrior of yours." He helped the man out of the area. All he could see was warriors burning their teepees, the only sound around was the sound of battle cries. Pon ran back to his baby and ran as fast as he could to the end of the Bajaj village. He grabbed his child and ran to the Dark Forest. He arrived at the entranceway of the forest. He stood for a minute, wondering if this was a good idea. He sat the brown hand made basket on the cold ground. He kissed his child good-bye. Pon tucked her blanket in more, hoping she would not be cold. He laid her bottle where she would be able to find it. He turned around and went back to his village. The child was left alone. She had fallen asleep peacefully, not knowing her father would not be there when she awoke.
Snow
The dark forest was the most dangerous place to be. Especially for a young child. A wolf hunting found the child. He sat next to her and saw fire off in the distance. He decided since the forest is not a safe place to take her back to his house. He looked at the child once again and grabbed the basket with his mouth. He walked through the forest keeping one eye alert for any animals that may come to him. He went around a pack of dead trees and found the river. He walked on a fallen tree to the other side of the river. Once he got to the other side of the river he took a left and avoided the Indian village nearby. He walked through a field and stopped when he hit a hidden forest. He decided what he should tell the other animals. Humans were not allowed inside this forest, mostly because humans had forgotten animal and man were on the same side. He sat and wondered whether the child was really worth breaking such a rule. He sat in front of the child and inspected her. When he looked into her eyes, he saw their future. He felt something he had never felt before. He felt he was not even on the planet anymore. He felt she was his only purpose. He felt the need to protect her, and make sure no one would ever lay a paw, finger, feather, or anything else on her. IF THEY DID THEY WOULD HAVE HIM TO DEAL WITH. WHETHER THEY LIKED IT OR NOT, HE WAS TAKING HER INTO THAT FOREST AND WILL NOT STAY WITHOUT HER NEAR HIS SIDE.
The magical forest
Pon walked straight through the magical forest with a serious look on his face. He could feel the stares on him, the whispers clearly heard with his ears. He kept on walking, he went straight to the alpha male himself and set the basket down and stood over her. The alpha male looked at him, then at the child.
"Why did you bring this child into our sacred home Snow?" The alpha male looked down on him and stared with confusion.
"She is mine. If you can not allow her to be here with me, then I will leave too." Snow stood, waiting, he looked straight through the alpha male's eyes. The alpha male jumped down in front of Pon.
"What makes you think we actually need you here?" The alpha male grinned at Pon. He gave Snow a terrifying look.
"Without me, all of you would still be in war with the dark forest. If you are willing to get rid of me then you have no idea what a true warrior is. Just because I've found a child that could die alone, does not mean i have not thought of the consequences. Besides if you would rather have me fight for her safety, I will take all of your men on in battle. If you touch a single hair on her body, then i will destroy this whole forest. We all know that will not take much to do. Just walk in the villages, they are at war with each other do you really want us to do the same exact thing to each other? Do you really want all of your men to try and defeat me? Then who will you have to not only to protect you, but all of us? I will not stand here and be stared at, this child is going to be the best thing that has ever happened to me in my entire life."
Snow hears the audience gasps as he speaks of his love for this child. "It's not like I could leave her."
The alpha male tells Snow to come to his cave where they can talk in private. Snow puts the basket carrying his love in his mouth and grips tight onto it. He starts walking slowly toward the alpha male. He walks right into the cave and sets the child down. He smiles at her and nestles his head on her tiny body for a minute. He sits straight back up when he hears the alpha male come in.
"So this child, made you believe in protecting?" The alpha male just stared at the child in the basket.
"This child is my complete and only life. If you wish for her to leave, I will leave as well. I know you may not want me here, but i do wish you would at least maybe give the child a chance. Until it is able to live on its own."
"I understand what your saying, but i do not think you understand. How are we are suppose to allow you to keep this child? What would the other animals think? We've already had one war, we do not really need another one. I guess if you have the child stay with you and learn from you, he will not be so aggressive like other humans. If he does hurt one animal, that's it. He will be kicked out of the forest and so will you. Have a nice day."
Snow smiled at his leader and took his new child with him. When he made it back out of the tent, he saw all the other wolves waiting for his return.
"My fellow warriors, this child is ours to teach. We will teach her the ways of the wolf. We will teach her to run with the pack, hunt with the pack and most importantly, we will teach her to respect the animal kingdom. We have permission from our Alpha male to keep this child, if you are not with me, then you are against me, who will help me keep this child safe?"
The whole pack became very quiet. Snow waited patiently, knowing someone would answer him.
"If we want the animals to feel comfortable with her being around them, we should give her a name instead of just Child." A females voice unexpectedly awoke from the crowd. A young female pup gently ran up to snow and the child. "What is her name? I think we should name her Shanti. It means peace. If she has a name that means peace, maybe the other animals will not be feared by her."
"I think that's a great idea, Raksha." Snow smiled at the small pup. He took Shanti and walked through the other wolves. He kept walking until he came upon his tent. He sat Shanti down on his bed of leaves, and layed down next to her.
