This is My Story

The Beginning

Hi first reader, this is my very first chapter of my very first writing. I would really appreciate any feedback anyone could give. I'm not really sure if I'm good enough to write these or if Anyone would like me to continue but in generals any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I woke up to see Keaton draped on me, shirtless, and possibly pants less. Yet all I could do was smile because at this point, life was good. I guess this all seems kind of crazy so I guess I oughta start from the beginning.

"Clove Clove WAKEUP WAKEUP!"

Oh by the way my name is Clove, I have the awesomest little brother named Cody and an older brother named Connor. I guess my parents always did like the letter C. Now Cody didn't usually wake me up like he did this morning but this morning was special. Today was the first day at a new school of course it wasn't new for me. Cody had just turned 5 and it was time for his first day in first grade. Connor on the other hand was a senior in high school but I always felt a distance from him that was absent with Cody.

"Alright, alright, I'm getting up Cody buzz off".

I got up, quickly got dressed, and waltzed down the stairs. I was of course just as excited as Cody for my first day back at school because we had been gone on vacation all of summer break and I couldn't wait to see Cami and Addison. Cami and Addison are my two best friends and I could never have asked for anyone better. As all friends do we had our fights but none of us could stay mad at each other for more than an hour. I go to Newport High School and it was to say the least, not ideal. You could walk into school and pick out the populars, the nerds, and the middle class. Like most typical High school stories I'm not part of the stragglers that don't belong anywhere. In fact I'm one of the populars.

In a way I'm not sure if life could have gotten any better at that point. In reality it was just my undeveloped brain not seeing how life really is at Newport.

I walked downstairs and poured myself a bowl of fruit loops when Mom walked in.

"Are you ready for your first day back?"

"Of course I am Mom" I said rolling my eyes.

"Okay, okay I'm just not looking for a repeat of two years ago"

"Oh come on Mom let it go! I was just a little nervous!"

Connor chose now to walk downstairs and he must've heard the conversation because he chose to comment "Oh yeah if by just a little nervous you mean blowing chunks all over the dash of my jeep" he laughed.

If there is one thing Connor knows how to do is hang on to the past which can be pretty annoying. Especially if you just had some stale oatmeal that morning and it had just so happened to be the first day of school.

"Don't worry mom I'll be fine"

"Whatever you say"

She then turned to Connor saying "I have to go into work early today so I have arranged with the new neighbors to drop Cody off for his first day and you have to make sure he's over there before you and Clove head off."

I lit up at hearing this and exclaimed a little too energetically "can I take Cody over mom"

I said this because when the old cranky Zarrelies had moved out of the house to our right I was dying to see some cute boys move in. Move in they did, from what I had been able to gather there was Keaton, Wesley, and Drew. All of which were very attractive, all three of these boys were living with their mom Lorraine. Keaton is in my year while Wesley and drew are in Connor's year.

"Yes Clove, you can. I also have something very important to tell you and Connor when I get back!"

Connor and I shared a knowing look, we had been pushing mom to allow us to change schools to HHS (Huntington High School) and I felt that today was the day!

"Okay mom!" We shouted back.

"I love all of you" she said as she gave us each a kiss on the cheek

"And don't forget to take Cody over" she reminded me

"I won't" I responded. How could I ever?
