ALEX COOPER:
"I can't believe I'm solo tonight" Massey said defeatedly
"That's what you get when you reject almost all the boys at this school... and a few girls too" I answered trying to hold back my laugh
Massey glared at me "Shut up Alex, at least I didn't have to force someone to go with me!"
"Ouch" Sage said as she entered Massey's room
Massey Summers had the biggest room ever, one wall was completely filled with individually framed photos and the other wall had racks of shoes, bags, accessories and cosmetics from floor to the ceiling, this is of cause minus her walk in closet filled with clothes she's worn for no more than two times..
I rolled my eyes at Sage who threw herself on Massey's bed. She was one of my best friends but I couldn't stand the fact that she was spending so much time with Levi even though I was with Vaygan and had no right to be upset - but I was upset, and it the tought of them together killed me...
When Massey and I finished dressing we were almost a half hour late. Sage still refused to go and I didn't mind, it meant I wouldn't have to share Levi tonight.
Vaygan popped into my mind and I shook him out; he was being a complete fuck face to me so forget him right?
I took one last look at myself In the mirror and followed Massey to my car before leaving for the dance.
The jealous stares pierced through us as we entered the almost unrecognizable gym. The ceiling was covered in hanging balloons and vintage looking lanterns on each table lit up the room.
I was in a mint green, floor length, chiffon dress with silver detailing and Massey was in a short figure hugging black dress with lace detailing on the back.
Not to brag but we were gorgeous.
Massey disappeared into the crowd and I made way to the snack table, scanning for any signs of vaygan
Or Levi
About to grab a glass of punch I was startled by two huge hands covering my eyes.
"Hey!" I half shouted, trying to push then away but my 'attacker' wouldn't budge. Instead I got dragged through the crowd of people. Finally the pulling stopped and once the hands had disappeared, i noticed I was on the dance floor.
Suddenly the music faded and a circle was formed around me
(well not really but for poetic purpose let's just pretend it happened)
"This one's for you miss Alex Cooper" the DJ announced and starry eyed by Ellie goulding started to play.
Levi appeared from the crowd wearing a fitted dark grey suit and a cute bowtie.
He grabbed my hand and pulled me closer and we started dancing to my favourite song
"You look breathtaking" he whispered in my ear, pecking me on the forehead.
The kiss sends a sensation through my body and my eyes involuntarily fluttered, I can feel my body melt into his.
"You ruined my make up" I said jokingly
"You look perfect without it" he said giving me a warm smile "Where's Vaygan" he looks around
"You know bad boys" I said putting my head against his chest "they don't do these sorts of things"
He laughed and wrapped he's arms around me "Well I love them" he said "and too bad for him, I got you all to myself tonight"
We slow danced for what felt like hours, just soaking up each other's presence. I missed him. I missed being his. Suddenly his chest started vibrating and I pull away from him in confusion.
He's facial expressions changed as he took out his phone from his chest pocket,
I didn't even need to see the phone, I could already tell its Sage by the way he looked.
He seemed all worried and anxious like when he left the café
"What's wrong" I asked and he texted away.
"I'm so sorry but I have to leave" he said heading towards the exit...
"Why" I ask following him outside "Why do you always have to leave?"
It's dark, cold and raining outside and I could feel my hair start to friz but I stood there waiting for an answer
"Im so sorry Al." he apologised and started running "I have to go"
"Levi wait" I yell out and he turned around to look at me
"I love you" I blurt out, trying to get him to stay.
And just as he opened his mouth to say something he's phone started ringing
He looked at his phone and then then at me.
"I'm sorry" he said once again and rushed off
And as I turn around, my heart stops.
Standing in front of me dressed in a black suit with absolute anger on his face is Vaygan.
He looked at me from head to toe with with the feeling of betrayal written all over his face and shook his head in disappointment before walking away...
OH SHIT...
