My First Love

ch 7

Amanda POV
         
All of my classes were usual boring. During lunch me, Clair, James, Jack and Ely we sat together discussing about cheerleader and football practices. I did not pay attention to any of it as i was not interested. My friends call me nerd because I love reading books. Snapping out of my thought I saw James and Clair busy in their own world and Ely and James were chatting very closely. I felt a pang of jealousy, they are getting closer than I expected. The bell rang and we started walking to our class.

"Am, for assignment you wanna come to my house or do it in your house" James asked me. I don't want anyone to know my parents or see the picture of them.

So I just replied "Your house"

"Okay than see you after class" he said, agreeing with him we headed towards our class.

I had my last class with Clair so I explain to her that I'm going to James house for our research and she said Jack is taking her out for a dinner. She was so exicted, saying our byes we parted our way.

This is going to be a long walk, I should have ask James for a ride. Wait, he didn't attend last class I remember him rushing out of the class. Is he sick or did something happened to their parents but he went out happily.

As I reach James house I saw an extra car is he busy, should I just get home. Confusingly I rang the door bell, the door open and  Emily was standing there with a smile.

"Hello dear, come in" she said letting me in.

"Hey Emily, is James home" I ask her politely.

"Yes, he is upstairs with his sister" she said walking me to the sofa, I sat there.

"Do you want to drink anything dear?" Emily asked me.

"Water will do" I replied and she went kitchen. Not long before she return with a glass of water saying thank you I took the glass.
"You're welcome dear, wait for a moment I'll call James for you" she said and disappear. So James went home early to meet his sister. As I was thinking I heard someone clearing throat, turning around I saw a beautiful girl with a brunette hair standing before me, little younger to me by one or two years.

"Hi, you must be Amanda, I'm Casey, James little sister" she said extending her hand.

"Hi, it's nice to meet you, I hope I'm not intruding" I said, she frown.

"Of course not I just came to visit my brother and I'm about to leave" she said with a smile. Before I could reply she continue.

"I'm sorry, I better get going I'm getting late for my flight, it was nice meeting you" she said looking at her watch saying good bye she left.

"You're here" James said from behind, I turned.

"Yea, and I just meet your sister, she is nice and sweet" I said to him.

"Yea, she is" he said smiling  and we started doing our research as usual in middle we chat and laugh.

This whole week have been amazing, spending time him I mean, even though it was for our research I came to learn more about him.

I woke up with a pain in my stomach when I check it was a period of the month. Sighing deeply I took shower putting my pajamas and simple tops I called Clair. She picked up on my second call.

"Hi, Clair you don't have to pick me up for school" I said 

"Why? Are you sick?" she ask in a worried tone.

"No, it's just a period of the month don't worry, I just don't feel like going" I explain to her.

"Okay, take Care. I'll visit you later" she said, saying bye I cut the call. I just sat whole day playing video game and eating.

The door bell rang, I look at my watch and it was only 1 pm, who could come at this time I mean Clair has an hour or two to finish her class.

I open the door to reveal the most handsome man on earth,  James. I was too shocked to see him that I forgot to greet him.

"Hello, to you too" he said winking. Snapping out of it.

"What are you doing here?" I ask with a confused face.

"Well, I heard you were sick so I came to pay a visit to my partner and tomorrow is the last  of our submission" he explained to me, nodding I let him in.

"So how are you doing?" he ask with concerned.

"I'm fine, take a seat, you wanna drink something" I ask him.

"Yes, water please" he replied politely. I walk to the kitchen and took a cup of water but before heading out I ask Mr's Jones to bring some cookies and juice.

"Thank you" he said and took a cup from my hand I just smile.

"So are your parents home or you live alone" he asked me.

"No, Mr's Jones stays with me and as for my parents they usually go for business trips so they come home on weekend" I replied to him with a sad smile. Not wanting to talk about my parents I changed the subject.

"Let's start" I said and we started our research. Mr's Jones brought cookies and juice, we thank her. After 30 minutes.

"Finally done" he said grinning like a five year old kids getting a candy from the candy store.

"Yeah, it's done" I said little disappointed as I won't get chance to be alone with him from now on.
     
"I better get going I have a dinner appointment with my parents" he said looking at his watch.

"Okay, it was great working with you. Hope you enjoy dinner with your parents" I said smiling, I wish you could stay longer.

"Same here and thanks, see you tomorrow. Bye" he said, I stand there waving him bye as he drove off.

Before I walked in I saw Clair car pulled. Oh! Yes Clair said she and Ely will be coming. How did I forget that.
