They didn't know how it happened, but suddenly Aila and Sunako already dropped all their cards and nobody noticed. So now it was just 7 of them left. Claire and Tide didn't join, and instead watched them. Now, Kaori, Hinami, Stark, Blaze, Tsubaki, Maka and Soul were left in the game, with Soul having the most cards.
He totally had bad luck, making him groan at his misfortune.
Though while they were playing, Sunako watched as Aila furrowed her eyebrows while reading a manual to play chess. A small amused smile appeared on her lips, though it disappeared just as it arrived when she walked to the albino.
".. chess, huh.." Sunako spoke, causing Aila to jump in her place and hold back a yelp. The crossdresser held her hands up in surrender, gesturing that she doesn't mean any harm. The smaller girl nods, continuing to read the manual. Sunako tilted her head. "Want me to teach you?"
"I can do this.." The albino muttered and turned the page of the manual. There was so much numbers and combinations. She swore that the world around her spun. Aila turned to Sunako with shy but determined eyes.
"How about now?" The ravenette smirked a little, crossing her arms a bit smugly
"Yes please.." Aila said shyly, tilting her head. Sunako nodded and started to set up the chessboard, glacing at the other game from time to time. Now Stark had the most cards, with Tsubaki the least. As she finished setting up the pieces, she started to teach Aila about the game. The girl listened intently, but she didn't listen all that well.
"So that's that. Let's have a test game." Sunako fixed the chess board after explaining and moved a pawn two boxes forward, since her pieces were white. Aila suddenly didn't know what to do and zoned out on what the ravenette was saying.
'She moved that piece forward so I'll move mine forward too.' Aila thought as she moved her own chess piece forward as well. Sunako gave a hum of acknowledgement and moved another pawn. 'Wahh, I don't know what to do.. I'll just do what she does.'
The two continued to play, and the group slowly lost players and Blaze, Kaori, Stark and Tsubaki were left.
The two continued to play, but it almost seemed to go nowhere as Sunako noticed Aila's moves.
"Are you.." The crossdresser stopped to think of the word. Her eyes flickered up to the panicking albino. She rose an eyebrow. "Are you copying me?"
It didn't take more than a second for the albino to panic and cry.
"I-I-I- umm I'm sorry Ms. S-Sunako but I-I-I forgot how to-to move and-and--"
Sunako stared at Aila with disbelief. She should've taught her better, now she got her crying and she doesn't know how to comfort a crying person. Footsteps were heard and a brunette dove onto Aila to capture her into a hug while a hand went to gently brush her hair as if to comfort her. The others looked at the scene with confused looks.
"Aila! Shh, shh, I'm here, I'm here.." Stark whispered and continued to brush her white locks. Aila hiccuped, whimpering as she hid her face into Stark's chest. The brunette turned to Sunako, who lazily raised her hands up in surrender as Stark narrowed his eyes at her. "What happened?"
"Geez, calm down, she panicked." Sunako replied monotonously. Stark's eyes softened in understanding. She took this as a sign to put her hands down and continue. "I was teaching her chess and I noticed that she was copying my moves. Then I asked if she was. And she panicked."
"I see.." Stark chuckled a little and whispered something into Aila's ear. Sunako noticed Hinami and Blaze teasing Tide, whose half-lidded eyes showed annoyance. She got curious but she wanted to keep playing. "Give me a moment to teach her, 'kay?"
