Secondly, THIS STORY WILL BE IN ENGLISH. I know the title is "Desi" and it's about Indians, but the majority of the story will be in English. There will be some Hindi sprinkled in between, but there either will be context clues, or, if it's REALLY hard to figure out what they are saying, I'll tell you at the end of the chapter.
Lastly, have fun! Don't forget that these situations happen to many people, but have fun understanding how Aditi copes with the circumstances.

Aditi Sharma is a typical Indian girl living in America. She loves reading and writing, and has a strange passion for genetics. This sarcastic, quick-witted girl can surpass anything that comes her way.
Well, almost anything. She can't walk.
Aditi's in a wheelchair. She has been since she was 10. Because of one decision, her whole life, soccer, was taken from her. But that didn't stop her.
No, now Aditi's eye is on the Paralympics. That's all she wants in life. But when she is sent off to see a marriage in India, what will happen? Will she learn that there is more to life?

Akshay Patel is a typical Indian boy living in India. He has an average education, loves computers, and absolutely DETESTS sports. This jokester can turn any situation into a fun memory.
But, when a girl with a sad story literally rolls into his life, he finds out that there is some pain that can't be laughed away. Her determination is admirable, but the walls she puts around herself seclude her from the wonders of the world.
