second chances
It had been a day since that bizarre incident with the boy on the phone. After he'd hung up, Cindy had spent twenty minutes arguing with herself on whether she was right or not. She finally came to this conclusion: Yes, she'd been too harsh but she was completely right in blowing him off. She didn't know him, and it was slightly creepy that he'd called her, once even after she'd hung up.
After that, Cindy had completely forgotten about him, with all the schoolwork and after-school dance lessons clogging up her life.
However, after she'd finished her homework for the day, she found her thoughts drifting towards this mystery boy. Despite having rationalized her actions the day before, she couldn't shake the feeling that she'd lost something, which was ridiculous.
Maybe she just wanted to know who it was? After all, it wouldn't hurt to know who had liked her for so long, and so much that he was shy to come up to her.
Yes, she nodded to herself, happy with her reasoning. She was only thinking about him because knowing who he is would totally stroke her ego.
Before she could over-analyse the situation (a frequent habit), she picked up her phone and called him. Crossing her fingers, she hoped that she'd clicked on the right unknown number.
After three rings, "Hello?"
AN: This story is so much easier to write lol. I'm literally creating the plot as I go.
