Frelle's Witness

<><><>

It started with a passing joke.
Then escalated, to a playful poke.
Business buddies they now are,
Helping each other to soar like stars.
Big brown eyes met browner still,
Creating butterflies sharp enough to kill.
Tingling throughout their souls.
Warming them hotter than coals.
Burning through, even the darkest cold.
Shining light more pure than gold.

School dances threaten them apart
But they cannot be torn apart.
The one who steps between those two
Cannot break the morning dew.
The fresh rain that fell that morning,
Untouched in the sun's rejoicing.
Misunderstandings run about
But she stood pretty stout.
Meddling hands and twisted hearts
Secrets seem to come in parts.

Kissing someone he didn't want
Only seems to want to haunt.
Burning alcohol down her throat
Sinking low without a boat.
Porcelain skin meets porcelain bowl
Her aching head was not her goal.
Frantic explanations tried
All her tears gone and dried.
Sadness shut and locked up tight
Trying to reach with all his might.

Slipping from his grasp just one more time
Whispering voices and their chimes.
A hard reality smacked to life
Cutting deep like a knife.
Down the stairs into love's waiting arms
The only thing that can protect from harm
Swirling new possibilities
Brand new responsibilities
The magic once again will be,
Possibly over a cup of tea.

Fine till danger hits again
Don't worry, it's just began.
Hidden teacher's secret revealed.
Taken back to be resealed.
The champion is cruelly dead
She's attacked and cracks her head.
Sleep has taken them together
Though one of them is gone forever.
He leans over and says she has till November.
Now that might be something she remembers?

Waking up in a killer's house
Trying to be as quiet as a mouse.
Hitting him over the head with a lamp
Inside the bathroom is her camp.
She's saved from the innocent
Only to be imprisoned.
When school is taken by the devil
They must fight to drown the evil.
The darkness spreads into their heads
And their relationship comes to an end.

A book of letters never sent
So many words they never meant.
A date that only proves her love
He was only pure as a dove.
Fiery red and golden brown
Linked together through their crowns.
Love that spills, from their souls
Is not something they can control.
Brought back together through meddlesome hands
To help them more than they understand.

Now that they are back together
My only hope is for there forever.
Meeting each other outside the castle
Is every bit, worth the hassle.
Darkness creeps in once again
Surely only to bring them pain.
With You-Know-Who back to play
They don't have much more to pay.
And so begins the attack at the castle
Just something else they will have to tackle.

We mourn the death of Albus Dumbledore
A great loss, just the beginning of our war.
With the darkness's threat
We must never forget,
Light overcomes dark,
All you need is a spark.
Futures left unsure to us
Everything has been discussed.
Marriage proposals steal her mind
Only brings her health to mind.

His hushed reassurance dulls the pain of the news,
But brings about her decision to choose;
To go on the run,
Or stay with her Sun.
Everyone else seems to have the answer
And make her feel like a useless anchor.
Left in the dust
Betraying her trust,
She's snatched from her home,
And interrogated like a garden gnome.

Saved again by her sister and friends
Only leads to more dead ends.
No further than they were before
They can't seem to unlock the door.
Frustration builds its pressuring walls
For her to run and fix their squalls
While searching for their missing partner
She runs into her fiery lover.
Realizations bring her nearer
Her future path becoming clearer.

She must stay where she belongs
In the arms of the one she missed so long.
A gentle push in the right direction
To only help her sister's protection.
To make them not two but three
To help them to set us free.
Still a bit confused about life
But nothing comes without strife.
She helps her friend in a job so dangerous
But her skills make it seem more adventurous.

Alas the danger got too severe
And the time to disappear is near.
Christmas holidays approaching soon
To be spent across the moon.
Final decisions thought and done
There long love journey finally won.
They tied the knot with dearest friends
And so their love begins and ends.
A whole new chapter to read again,
To see them once again in pen.

Finding safety in families houses
Breaking the news that they are spouses;
To set their formal ceremony aside.
Till they can plan it all in stride,
But first they have a battle to fight
People to protect with all their might.
Finally the time has come
To take a stand against evils drum.
The battle of Hogwart's is just beginning.
Many lives approach their final-inning.

Tender lovers across the room,
She watches him fall to his doom.
The heart shattering mess that comes with death
As he takes his one last breath,
The ghost of his laugh still upon his face
But his eyes have really left this place.
Never to hold the warmth they had
Never to reassure her when sad.
But her whole entire heart has been ripped
All of her life and will has been stripped.

He fought to bring our freedom back
But they are still under attack.
No clear images in her mind
She has to be carried all but blind.
Sitting beside his once warm being
She looks about her still unseeing.
Her body can only rack with sobs
So Harry Potter makes it his job
To bring revenge upon their enemies
To show them that they all have penalties.

Her body to weak to fight herself
She feels like she is stuck on a shelf.
To far to jump down to the ground
So the water meets with her to drown
All her sorrows, all her pain
There is nothing left to gain.
The loss of those we love will never
Be something we can get over forever.
The wounds it makes will lie beneath
And capture the very air we breathe.

The sacrifices one must make
So that many others may lay awake.
Though so heartbreaking
And while so aching,
The pain the burden she must bare
To make a difference she is aware.
His life was one of happy laughter
One that was supposed to have a happily ever after.
It seems as if the world wanted no part
In her light filled happy heart.

He gave her wings so she could soar
But now all, that was is torn.
The once happy place
Will forever miss a face.
Though he will be dearly missed
He was loved and cherished and kissed.
The wings that once soared so high
Now will have to say goodbye.
The golden tips now lost forever
Because it lost its soul connecter.

Surrounding herself with her family
Who found each other amidst their calamity.
To dull the pain of losing a number
For the one in eternal slumber.
Looking up into the sky
Her soul can only eternally cry.
The victory is bittersweet.
They celebrate the Dark Lord's defeat.
But never forget their eternal love,
Whiter and purer than any dove.

*Disclaimer: I hope you like this :) I had so much fun writing it! Something I would like to note though is that I came up with an alternate ending and I didn't write about all the details of the story. I hope that it still makes sense and that you enjoy reading it! :) The song doesn't really go with the poem but I thought you might enjoy some background music.
