Chapter Twelve

[May 6th, 2016]

Lilian arrived home to find police tap in the house. She saw several polices. Confused, she walked up to one.

Lilian: Excuse me, what's going on?

Policeman #5: Are you related to Bridgette Cheng?

Lilian: Yes. Is she okay? Where's Marinette?

Policeman #5: What relation?

Lilian: She's my older sister.

Policeman #5: Well, Bridgette Cheng was found out to be the person who snatched Marietta Dupain from Albee Central supermarket in New Haven 12 years ago.

Lilian gasped in horror.

Lilian (Thinking): Nette found out! This is bad this is really bad! She wasn't supposed to find out. Poor Bridgette!

Lillian's phone ring and she quickly answered it.

Marietta (From the phone): Hello?

Lilian (On the phone): Oh my God, Marinette where are you?

Marietta (From the phone): Did you know?

Lilian (On the phone): Know what?

Marietta (From the phone): Did you know that I was a missing child?

Lilian (On the phone): No.

Marietta sighed and hanged up. Lilian started to breathe heavily.

Policeman #5: We need you to go to the police to answer some questions.

Lilian nodded as she followed the police outside.

Meanwhile, Tina is holding Marietta by her other arm while talking to some paperrazzi's.

Tina: My sister, brother-in-law, and myself are so happy. The rest of our family is as well.

Paperrazzi #1: Marietta, are you mad that you were taken from You're family?

Marietta: Uh...kinda?

Paperazzi #2: What do you mean by kinda?

Marietta: I mean that maybe Bridgette​ had a reason.

Tina: Okay, no more questions.

Tina took Marietta's hand and led her into her house. She closed and locked the door behind her.

Tina: How are you?

Marietta: I'm fine.

Tina: You have no idea how you, you're mom, and you're father are feeling to learn that you've been found.

Marietta: I'm sorry I caused so much Pain.

Tina: It wasn't you're fault. It was that woman.

Marietta: Can I still go to school?

Tina: Huh?

Marietta: College Francoise Dupont. It's just a mile from here.

Tina: You can still go to that school. But whatever your mom decides is up to her.

Marietta looked down. She's happy to know that truth, but she still feels lost.
