Jess's P.O.V
"Even though I would just like to forget about yesterday do I think it maybe would be good to talk it through"
Conor come back from the living room after he's put on a film for Leonelle to keep her distracted.
I'm sat at the dinner table on my phone when he request it and I just nod as he look over at me.
"Coffee?"
He pour up one cup for himself and turn around to face me
"Yes please"
I put my phone down on the table beside me with the screen facing down.
Conor return from the kitchen with two cups and hand me one of them before he sit down on the chair opposite me.
"Okay let's handle this like adults shall we, no shouting, judging or overall being mean to each other, remember Nelle's in the other room"
I nod once again and place my hands around my cup of coffee.
Conor sigh and look over at me, clearing his throat.
"So we both said some nasty words yesterday, huh?"
I look up at him but he keeps his eyes on his cup.
"I know and I want you to know that I didn't mean any of it, I was selfish, okay"
Conor nod and run his index finger along the rim of the cup.
"I know you didn't but you must have felt something that got you into feeling that way"
I sigh and take a small gulp of coffee to give me more time to think about an answer.
"I guess, both you and Jack were and still are depressed, I felt trapped in Brighton, I mean I'm sad too but not on the level as you, Jack and your parents, it all just got a bit much"
"I just, it wasn't the Jess I know and I'm worried about you gorgeous, are you sure you're okay?"
Conor take my hand and run his thumb over my knuckles.
"And I'm worried about you Conor, when was the last night you slept more than two hours for example, neither you or Jack were okay with your parents putting that much pressure on you"
I take another sip of coffee, my left hand still intertwined with Conor's.
"I know but we could make it work, I can talk to mum and dad about it, we could bring Leonelle with us, everything will work out"
Conor's eyes are fixated on a crack in the table, it had been there since we moved in and Leonelle loves to run her fingers along it, pretending it's different things, a river for example.
"I don't know, why can't we just stay here, I mean we can drive down regularly but we both know that you've got work here in London, you can't just ignore that"
Conor sigh and I can tell it's something that's been bothering him.
"This is what I mean Jess, it's not the fact that me and Jack feel bad because of our parents it's just you not wanting to be in Brighton, why don't you just tell me the truth?"
I feel the discussion getting heated and out of hand, why did this always happen between us.
"Conor gorgeous, I don't know what to say, I wouldn't hide the truth from you but I feel like we staying here would make both me and you less depressed in the long run"
Conor sigh, running his hand through is undone hair, the loose light brown curls falling down onto his forehead.
"Maybe you're right, maybe I shouldn't have come to a conclusion before talking it through with you before"
